Link building for brand new websites

Hey guys, quick question.

I need a paid-for service for building low risk backlinks to brand new websites.

Most of the marketplace packages offer 30 of this link, 20 of that link yada yada. There's no way that's safe, surely? Not for a brand new site with no links and no link velocity history. So I've been buying single high/medium DA links on specific news sites (DA 30-50 usually) using generic or branded anchors. This gets expensive with multiple clients so wanted to check this is the right approach.

1. What do you think of this strategy? It just feels more 'normal' to me for news sites to link one by one, rather than blast 20-50 links at a new site.

2. For a brand new site with NO links, would you aim the first links at the home page, or an inner page?

Seems like an ok strategy to start off with. As a general rule when starting work on a new site I keep the volume low and the quality high.

Social signals are also a good place to start.

I have a new site too, and i also be have the same thought. It just better to grow the backlinks as we grow the site, and not just dump it all at once

Usually the first month of SEO I only focus on on-page SEO and light social signals (as others already mentioned).

Starting from the second month I get started with high DA guest posting/outreach and such.

For link diversity, I'd suggest manual content on the top Web 2.0 sites (Wordpress, Tumblr, Weebly, etc.), and even Quora (great for referral traffic too).

First focus on on-page then start getting backlinks from High DA sites. You can try to get links from web 2.0 sites and guest blogging website.

Depends on what kind of directories you are talking about.

If you're ranking a local business, then local directories is something you should focus on the first or second month of SEO.

If you're talking about article directories... Don't waste your time (and money) on such outdated linking strategy... I'm dead serious, it's super low quality and spammy for today's standards.

1. if you're looking for just 20 to 50 sites i would suggest just do it manually you won't get packages for such low quantity
2. yes aim the first links at the home page.

first Add blogs to your website , to get instant backlink you can do blog commenting , blog posting to external sites , guest posting .

20 links isn't a high volume to "blast". If you were talking about 20,000, then yes, that would be high volume, but 20 is nothing.

I'd start a link profile by buying a service on the marketplace that creates some (up to 50) profiles with URL or brand anchor text. I've used @finnol a couple of times, and I've asked only for profiles to be built on relevant sites to my site (i.e. if my site is a B2B service provider, I don't want links on music sites or child games sites). You could buy a small package of say 20 links.

These won't all be indexed at once, even if they are built at the same time, so if you drip social signals to each (or make a couple of Blogger/BlogSpot comments for each), your velocity will be fine. Also, some will be deleted over time.

Profile links would go to the home page. If you're super cautious about these links, you can link them to a page that 301 redirects to the homepage, rather than the domain, e.g. https://www.mysite.com/home rather than https://www.mysite.com/

With link building, I think it's better to lean more towards the safer and lower volume when starting out.

My website is 6 months old and so far I have:-

Written and published 5 guest posts
Created profiles with backlinks
Posted on relevant forums

I have also bought several packages from BHW, however... Each one has been small (5-20) and I always wait a few weeks in between each one. Maybe over time I will look into bigger packages but this seems to be working for me for now.

Don't buy service for such small number instead try manually submitting sites and yes the first few links should redirect towards home page.
