Best way to revive engagment?

I'm getting only 1.6% engagement and my IG account has 50k followers.

I'm an influencer and I only post unique content. I've worked hard to improve the quality of my posts over the last few months and now I'm seeing decent growth but I really need to get that engagement % up.

I feel like, because the quality of my posts has improved, giving some of my "sleeping followers" a nudge by engaging with their posts might help them see and engage with my new posts (and hopefully win me some favour with the algo).

But obviously with 50k followers it's impossible to do this manually.

I've read on this forum that Jarvee has a function where you can scrape all your followers, then scrape a list of all followers who engage with your posts - then by subtracting the second list from the first you have a list of non-engaging followers.

Is this still the best method?

Jarvee can probably help you.
It also can block not engaging followers, this can also increase your engagement.

How'd you get those 50k followers? That might be a good place to start.

They're not bought if that's what you're asking. I started my account right back in 2014 so I'm thinking a lot of them could be inactive accounts.

The problem with bots is that if you scrape likes from posts, you get only 1k likes in total per post (it happened after privacy change in April or May 2018). So, if ALL your posts are getting less or equal to 1k likes, you can do it with Instagram bot, if not, you will not be able to scrape the full list yourself.

I actually cringe a little when using this term about myself - it's not all I do by any means, but seemed an easy way to convey that it's my own account and I'm not managing several accounts. I guess could have said "This is my own and my only account and it's main aim is to promote my business/personal brand but I'm also interested in working with brands for extra income..." But I felt like Influencer was enough info for this question.

I'm kind of hoping for something a bit more straightforward that what those posts describe, at least to start with. I thought the method I described with Jarvee might be good if only as a first step to see what happens? Then maybe I could try some more advanced/time consuming methods.

Also, at the post at the first link says: "2. Scrape a list of people who liked your 10 recent posts. One by one and manually of-course." - Does that mean to manually type out the username of every liker? Seems pretty laborious, or have I mistaken the meaning?

I second this. I recommend finding a app/program that will allow you to find your ghost/bot followers so you can block them then unblock them if you'd like. I've personally used an app for iPhone called Cleaner for Insatgram I think its called. Overall that should help increase your overall engagement rate for your profile. Obviously you'll need to strategize to increase your engagement numbers such as likes, impressions, etc...
