This is probably one of the most interesting niches for me nowadays. I'm not sure I understand it at all.
For me, back when I started mid 2018, you could use fuelgram or infinicore + DM groups on some viral travel content and go semi-viral every single time. Around December time I noticed that for everyone in all the DM groups I was in engagement was dropping big time. So to put in some perspective, I went from 5k likes per post to averaging about 1k at this time. I gave up on the account in January, my posts were getting 200 likes from my 10k followers.
So does this mean that I had fake followers? I manually checked through and found no suspicious accounts but it seemed that everyone else in my DM groups with 1-40K followers got anywhere between 30-300 likes per post, VERY low.
So if it wasn't just me, then what happened? Some accounts survived and kept going, but literally none with under 40k kept going. Did instagram purge travel accounts because they deemed that the niche was too saturated?
Since then, my knowledge has vastly grown on instagram growth, but I still can't make any travel page grow organically. Even if you go to some 100K+ travel accounts, some that used to be thriving are getting 500 likes per post.
Any ideas anyone?
Travel accounts are the most valuable in my opinion, so i'd love to get one going for a long term project.
