what about do-follow addon? It freezes often.
Freezes how, as in
It says not responding or the windows ghosts white or black?
OR
The window appears normal and you can move the window around, but the count does not change?
Its working fine for me, but I would whitelist in security software, the entire scrapebox folder. Every addon is a complete stand alone program and only uses the core of scrapebox for licensing purposes, so each addon can be treated differently by security software. So make sure to fully whitelist the entire scrapebox folder in all security software and you can also whitelist the addon in your router.
I am not saying features are broken, its a wonderful tool I know but always there will be some drawback in any tool. Just want to find those drawbacks so that scrapebox or me or some one can find a solution for that.
Let's take an example scrapebox cant scrape from sites if email is behind JS. So a browser based scraper is the solution.
Sure, of course. I just meant 80% of the time I hear that scrapebox is broken or can't do something its just a matter of changing how the person is doing it or solving the problem. Hence my post.
I can tell you that they are not planning to do a headless browser any time soon, infact probably the opposite will be true.
Meaning the manual poster is browser based, using IE rendering engine and it was good in its day, but there are so many issues with headless browsers that they didnt even include manual poster in mac and may in fact remove it in windows at some point. They almost didnt' even include it in V2.
So the point being that the headless browser creates far more issues then it solves as scraperbox users have the mentality of mass and speed and headless browser equals slow plus disaster, generally speaking.
Maybe there is alternative solutions down the track for javascript, but I don't think it will be a browser. my 2 cents.
Not perfect on expired domain and web 2.0 alive checking. Domain always show expired but its live actually
They are actually currently improving the expired domain finder, however it does rely on whois so there are a few tlds where it won't work, but those are quite the exception and less used tlds. There are also a few .coms that are now in a different state. They are not sold, thus they can technically be purchased, but they are premium so you have to pay an arm and a leg, but they do not have whois so they will show as expired. Again the exception not the rule.
On the web 2.0, it kind of is what it is. I mean they would have to login and try and register it in order to know for sure, and if your doing to take the trouble to go that far, I suppose you might as well just complete the registration. But the issue is that scrapebox doesn't support authentication.
In fact they built a product years ago that did, and users simply didn't understand it. It did in fact work, but it go so much blow back due to user error they shut it down and quit selling it. So those users shot us all in the foot because of their issue was between the screen and the chair and they were unwilling to learn. That said, getting into registering web 2.0s on behalf of the user is something I suspect would lead them right back down that road. Lots of complaints due to lack of user understand and lack of user willingness to learn.
Thats my guess, my 2 cents if you will. But I suspect that it won't be happening any time soon, but not up to me, so who knows.

So by all means keep the thread going, but the answer to some things is simply going to be that it is what it is and its not feasible due to one reason or another. When you have tens of thousands of users thats how it goes sometimes.
