I looked around in this section and did not find this particular method.
If it has been posted before my bad please delete this.

This is what I'm dubbing the Amazon smoke and mirrors money method.

Difficulty level : Easy (noob can do)

Currently have been doing this on Nextdoor with good success. You can easily scale this up as well.

What you will need:
  1. An Amazon affiliate account
That's about it

We are looking for Amazon sales commissions by getting people to click your affiliate link in this method

Here's the method
  1. Set up
    1. Find a product that a lot of people may want to buy, but doesn't really quite matter just have it be in the hundred dollar plus range and high ratings.
    2. Download a few photos of it
    3. Make your affiliate link from Amazon
    4. Make note of the Amazon price
  2. Execution
    1. Post in the Facebook marketplace or on next door that you are selling this particular product.
    2. Don't go into too many details about the product, just put something about how you acquired this and you're looking to sell it as you don't need it. Drop your Amazon affiliate link and say read the good reviews here about this product, sells on Amazon for XXX but I am selling it for XX.
    3. Post a price that is about $30 or $40 below what is selling on Amazon for (*Gotta make it look believable)
    4. Less details the better, as the goal is to get the end user to click your affiliate link so they can learn more about the product you are selling and get the cookie.
      1. This is good because you know they'll already be in a buying mood, as such they may be more apt to buy something from Amazon, if not the every item you are posting.
  3. Conclusion
    1. If people write you about the product, don't respond back or just tell then you sold it all ready.
    2. Been doing this for a couple weeks now averaging about $10 a day.
This is a super easy method with very little time investment potentially decent return.

Thanks - I hope you could find this useful

Seems like a clever method. Never tried, but I remember back in the day I used to do stuff like this.

Thanks for the share.

great share thank you
- Thanks !

Awesome method, how much do you post a day?
- one or 2 posts, then after a few days I mark them sold so it does not look like I am spamming.

- Bait and switch never goes out of style... like chess, you use the pawn as bate to get the king.

Thats against Amazon TOS, you should not post prices with your affiliate link. Your earnings will not be paid eventually.
- Good point, I will start to refrain from posting the "Sells on Amazon for" price from now on... :D

I'm getting "Sorry, this content isn't available right now" when I try to go to the FB marketplace. Anyone have that issue too? I'm on my computer but it works on my phone

Pretty cool. I can imagine the scale up. Turn that ten dollars a day into 40 and i can quit my shit job.

Smoke and mirrors is an art of distraction. You show people one thing while focussed on another, thus confusing and/or deceiving them

And your account is completely fine? I mean Amazon affiliate account.

Come on, what kind of reply is this, lol.
I'll answer that, Yes. What could be wrong, method is so clean.

Thanks for sharing, it's perfect.

This is a cute way to make a few dollars, but as soon as someone scales this up it will get patched up and your affiliate account will not be paid.

We got an expert in the house. Yeah, nothing can go wrong, my bad.

Isn't it against Amazon's TOS to post a direct affiliate link of yours anywhere but on your website?

Yes it is. If they find the link (not sure how easily they can do this) they will close your account. However, it could be changed, you could give the potential buyer a link to your URL registered with Amazon to check it out. so something like this:

Hey I am selling this lawnmower, go look on my FB page for the link. (Then a link to your registered FB page)
Then have your affiliate link.

It is a little less smoke and mirrors then though, more like misty windows...
