According to an unverified claim on Wikipedia, in 2017 Chitika raised the minimum payout threshold from $10 to $50 and then started banning publishers that reached $50.

U think they couldn't make enough profits for themselves and so shutting down?

Yeah i know them but they were legit as far as i know. They have minimum 0.1$ per click earning.

Around 10 years ago, they were among the most popular ad networks. Almost every blogger used to mention their name in the list of ad networks. Now you rarely find them in any blog posts. They failed to sustain their market. Probably exploited money from users and shutting down.

They are not paying money earned after Mar 1. This will be huge as they are not paying 1.5 months earnings of all of their customers. I guess they will relaunch with a different name using the profits.

they are not shutting down my dude, just a break and coming with another branded names, this is the policy when your business have shit bad reputation, haha

If another ad network shuts down in the coming months to a year I'll come to the conclusion that its Google cracking down on the competition, if not, what you stated is definitely not out of the question lol.
