How long did it take?

I will have to read it. cliches are what they are because they are usually true. It doesn't hurt to read them. If you would be willing to share a bit more of your story I would love to read it. If not, no problem. Don't want to take time away from you making $$$
Sure man, I'm actually planning to make a journey thread soon once my Income stabilizes as right now It's still all over the place but slowly climbing up.

It started when one of my friends recommended to check out BHW and so I did. Was lurking here for some time, reading stuff I didn't understand and jumping from thread to thread but was too scared to try anything as everything seemed so alien to me. Proxies, seo, landing pages, pre-landers, I couldn't see a damn difference between those words.
Then I stumbled upon the aforementioned book which opened my eyes. The time to do is now, not when Mars's and Jupiter's orbits align, not when you are "feeling" you are ready, it's now. It's now because the most valuable information you will gain is by testing yourself, as people only tend to share the tip of the iceberg, the basic stuff to get you started (which is great, don't get me wrong).
Long story short, I decided to try CPA+insta, because I had a tiny amount of experience in growing (1) Insta account to 6k, which took me a year on and off. And so I decided to sign up for BHW because I had so many questions about everything and had to buy tools and accounts etc.
Then I started testing out niches, which took me 2 months to find the right one and I was burning money on accounts, proxies, soft costs like a mad man untill I found what works for me. I'm now at the stage where I no longer burn money and actually make some, not a lot, but it's something. Now my day consists of scaling and optimizing. That's it, that's my story with making money on the internet. I'm in no way an expert and wouldn't even consider myself a starter, I have a long, long way to go.
When I will have gathered enough information on what I do and start earning full time income I will start giving back to this amazing community. Honestly, BHW, I can't thank you enough, you saved my life from 9to5 misery and actually gave me hope.

I hope one day I will say THANKS TO BHW BROS here
still working hard and cross finger this time really work for me.

If cannot , I really screw myself and again others will say " SEE , I TOLD U GO FIND A JOB , yet you jobless for years everyday stare at computer do what ? "

I want to SEE is the OPPOSITE , they will keep quiet and knows I earning money just sitting at home staring at computer

WHEN they ask me how I do it , I will not tell them frankly because these relatives have been pouring negative comments on me

now see me earning big money just sitting at home stare at computer trying to find out what I do . Sorry man.

My mentally is like this , You help me , encourage me positive before , give me a helping hand before ,
next time when you in trouble, I will help you back for sure.

Just keep doing your shit man, fuck whoever tries to put you down, whether those are your relatives, friends or enemies.
They all are subscribed to the 9-5 or bust mentality, they don't see any other way.
Keep pushing and you will show them, we're all in this together :)

Actually is taking a Risk , What people say No Risk No gain is really kinda true .

BUT a lot of us prefer to stay in " comfort zone " . You will be question by your parents , relatives , friends
why quit job , having a comfortable 3 , 4 , 6 k per month salary , in future who knows you got promote thus wages increase.

than will say , do what internet marketing ? If so easy everyone stay at home just make money from their computer

people no need to report go to work like that.

i got post a thread in louage before , aka does your parents , relatives see you whole day staring on the Computer at home
yet never go to work and say you are " crazy " ??

well the correct way actually is doing IM while you holding a full time job
that is what most will choose
BUT sadly is " subjective " depend how your full time job like .

a lot of us , once knock off from work come back home will be dam tired mentally
and a lot of use in fact don't get enough sleep . For years survey already show working class getting lack of sleep.

Now imaging on top you also doing IM , you will get even less sleep and can you managed to hold for some years daily ?

If you full time job is quite ok , than come back home eat dinner and do IM will be great

I don't know , Can't reply much as I myself haven't successful yet to be frank.
In fact I already jobless for like 5 years , Come IM you name it , I have done , try a lot even MLM
try and error etc got earn but in the end also earn nothing , my highest earnings is less than 500 bucks in fact I forget
but confirm is less than 500 bucks

I survive base on my savings , now funds getting low , yet jobless , LO this is why u can see me
quite often in here ask so much . You know what? is Panic , which force me even want to determine do it Right this time

I not young somemore , I already in 40s
Thank you for sharing. I admire you for carrying on Keep up the work!!

You will get there. Fuck everyone who disagrees. I have changed my hours to part time to work on IM. Just wish I was better at it o_O

if you're talking about offline job, it takes around 2 months after graduate to get my 1st job....

if you're talking about IM , it takes around 7 months for me from the first search on google "how to make money online"
and, my first conversion was CPA with around $1.5

currently i am trying to scale up and try to make IM income bigger than my offline job salary....

Well, I was tired and frustrated by not making money.
I sat down with myself and asked a simple question... Either treat this as a job or go find another "hobby"! At least you'll be broke and happy. What's your choice?

What I mean by a job is what @YujinTan is trying to say :)

When you're working at a 9-5, you go to your job NO MATTER WHAT.

--- Hate your boss? You still go to the job and spend 8 hours working.
--- Feeling tired or depressed? You still go to the job and spend 8 hours working.
--- Feeling happy and excited? You still go to the job and spend 8 hours working.

You see, your work ethic doesn't depend on anything! (Not even results... AKA paycheck. You work 160 hours before getting paid in a job. You did the same thing with making money online? Have you worked 160 hours in 1 month? )

You come, do the job, leave, REPEAT.

And that's the thing with Internet Marketing !!

If you don't treat it as a job... you show up no matter what (even if you have 0$, and you're not seeing results)... you sit your ass for at least 4 hours and do the work (test what you read on blackhatworld, fail, learn, adjust, fail, learn, adjust, fail, learn, adjust...) And you do this at least for 4 weeks, 5-6 days a week... Then you don't have even have the right to ask, "How long will it take?" "Is this IM real?" "How can I make 100$/day"

I wish someone told me this. I wouldn't waste 2 years half-assing my efforts and hoping for results.
That's hella refreshing, man. What an insight! Thank you very much!

@YujinTan hey, man, thank you too for your great answers!

@Stuffedegg hey, great thread! I can't answer your question because I'm a newbie in IM, so I'm yet trying to figure it out the whole thing... Anyway, best of luck to you!

I think around a year. I got my first few cents within few months but it was not consistent. So I would say after a year or maybe a little more.

3-4 years. Once I got the plan B (get a normal job) out of my head I put all my energy into IM

Was going to college for AA in Computer Science but learned everything on BHW and Google.

Once you make a few bucks online and know it's possible everything changes.

I've worked 9-5 including car wash detailing, grocery store stocker, warehouse running a forklift and unloading boxes from huge trailers.

Really blessed that I managed to escape that and work for myself on my own time. But like I said took a few years of little to no real income.

This was inspiring, thank you. I am honestly glad that you have made it work. I wish I knew more about CPA with insta.

It took me a few years before I started earning anything sustainable. My biggest problem was moving from project to project and never putting in all of my effort into one thing. Once I got that worked out, I stuck to one niche and I've been making money from it for about two years now. For me it was about mastering something and doing it better than the competition.

Thank you. I don't mean to sound rude, but do you make enough from it to not have a "day job". I know of course that IM is definitely a day, evening and night job. Well it is for me anyway.

Yes, I quit my job and am self-employed for little over a year now.
