Moz spam score is useless, and their link index is rather bad. Ahrefs is way better, but well, Moz is still better than nothing.

Alright, I'll probably start Ahrefs once my Moz 30 day trial expires. I'm still learning the basics so didn't want to start investing for something like that so early on.

Back to OP's question, is there any way he can check the trust rate without having to pay for a tool? Assuming he's a beginner like me, I don't think it's worth to sign up to something with a $100/month minimum cost just to check a few sites here and there

There are plenty of free tools that show you both Majestic TF, Moz DA and Ahrefs DR.
Majestic have free toolbar for Chrome/Mozila (shows Majestic TF (Trust flow) CF (Citation Flow)
There are plenty of websites that offer Moz DA for free - just Google "Moz DA check" (DA - domain authority, PA - page authority)
Ahrefs have this free tool: https://ahrefs.com/backlink-checker - (DR - Domain rating)

Also there is no such thing as "domain trust rate". All third party tools have their own metrics and Google had (now discounted for the public) Pagerank - PR.
