Link building, when should I start?

My new site is no 20 days old, when should I start link building? Is it better to make links for my homepage or my posts?

You can start making some social profiles like FB, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc.

And after a month old site, start making the web 2.0 profiles.

Yes you can start do interlinking from all the all the pages to main page

Note: make sure that all of your post got got indexed by google

Start with homepage social signals or press release then hold 2-3 week after that continue to send links.

After you are ready with social profiles, go for some more free links - Quora, related forums (posts, not signature or profile links), related directories even, then PBNs + guest posts.

You can make to both of them, but mostly to homepage

In the beginning, you should go slowly. Social profiles come first. Then quora, yahoo answers, related forum profile links. On the 4th or 5th month you can go with some authority links but not too much - 1 or 2 per month at this stage has kept me on the safe side of things and yielded great results!

The ideal is the 80/20 ratio if you want to keep it safe and have good results. What does that mean is that for every 5 incoming links, 4 should be pointining to the homepage and 1 to an inner page. This is a very good strategy for new sites.
