Is my IG account dead?

I'm new to this forum so I want to introduce myselt. I'm a 20 year old girl from a small country in Europe. I started my instagram profile in the begginig of this year. I used jarvee (f/uf) and got 3k followers. One month later I went to a marketing conference and met a man (he was a speaker at the conference) that works with small businesses that want to increase followers on their instagram profiles. I asked him how to grow my account, because I will be traveling next year and would like to have some benefits. He said that I should buy a profile, so he sold me one (26k followers, 3k likes/post). He said that it's been grown from zero and it's legit (no fake followers). When I posted a picture I only got 300 likes. The reach was terrible and I wanted my money back. Profile is 4 years old and has 10 posts, so he said that the reason for low reach is that he didn't post any photos for a long time. We agreed to wait one week and see if the situation is improving.... And it did. I got 1k likes per post and a few coments (with telegram EG). I decided to keep the profile. After a few days I noticed that likes only come every half an hour, so I figured that he's using like exchange from jarvee. He was sending me likes.

That's why I have to ask you experts, is it possible to ever wake up the followers of this profile? I'm trying so hard. I post 1 pic per day, at peak times. I use engagement groups on telegram and f/uf. The reach is less than 3000.

I'm completely lost and I don't know where to start. Can you help me out?

Robots don't engage.

You can slowly try to build up engagement again but you'd be better off starting with a clean account.

Sounds like the guy sold you an account with fake engagement and followers. You could do follow/unfollow maybe they'll follow back because you have a lot of followers already. From there you continue to post content with good hashtags and it should slowly recover the engagement

It sounds like he is ripping you off with fake engagement and followers for a quick buck, I recommend you get your money back before he dashes.

Stop botting, EG, etc.
Let the account rest, look for your competitor to see the type of post that's working (get great engagement)
Use rise decoded to get relevant hashtag in your niche.
Post content using those hashtag
A nice content + right hashtag will boost your reach organically.

He says he used a bot for the profile and didn't buy followers. I start traveling in three months, that's why I decided to buy a profile. A few days after I bought a profile, I reposted a very good photo and got 85k impressions (70k from hashtags and 10k from home). I know that my content is not the best right now, because I'm still learning but I think that the profile with 28k should get me more than 300 likes.

Sounds like the guy sold you an account with fake engagement and followers. You could do follow/unfollow maybe they'll follow back because you have a lot of followers already. From there you continue to post content with good hashtags and it should slowly recover the engagement

Thank you! I'm doing f/uf with which I got 2k new followers this month. But I read on this forum that f/uf ruins the account? That you can't get to explore and you get a flag from instagram. Is that true?

I paid 480€. I don't think he will give me the money back since my trial is over. He still answers my emails though. He sais he used a bot. If he used a bot and got 26k followers in 5 years, the settings were very slow I guess. He gained around 30 new followers per day.

That's the reason why I trusted him and decided to buy this account from him and not fameswap or some other page. I somehow believe that he can't sell fake accounts and be speaker at marketing conferences all over the world.

- start following people manually ( only your niche related people)
- post 2 photos a day
- start commenting on others photo
- create post that encourage people to comment on your photos.
- do everything manually no bots no automation software."

this will take atleast 3months to make your account stable with likes and followers but till then you have to struggle.

I'ts true, but if you do it temporarily to get a solid following then you can stop and slowly get back on Instagrams good side

Ahh don't say this .. Why do you sell them? I mean.. If someone buys your crappy account that means that there is a way to restart the engagement and turn it into a good account, or am I wrong? Why would somebody want to buy a dead account?

I am not sure why people buy them, the engagement is bad (2-3%)

I would start a clean account. Transitioning an accounts niche can totally harm the engagement. That may be why you're seeing such low numbers on the account now. Not necessarily him having fake followers on it.
