I've been using my own verified PayPal lately to sell virtual items via my Instagram niche page however PayPal decided to ban me without notice and keep the money for 180 days. No worries... After 180 days I will receive the money hopefully.

My question is : what kind of payment processor do you guys use for selling virtual items? I'm basically selling the items through my Instagram niche page but need something to route the money through. All the items I sell are legit however I'd rather collect the money when I've made a few sales rather then getting every payment separately.

I've thought about using fiverr by listing a different item and let the buyer purchase that gig and then they would receive the items via DM however they take %20 in fees.

Shopify needs an active PayPal account if you want to accept PayPal purchases.

Shoppy.gg and Shelly.gg are no option either..

Any suggestions are welcome!

Can any mod move this to the correct section : business & Tax advice?

How about seoclerks? They sure take less (+ affiliate program cuts it by half again) and even allow BTC if Paypal haunts you dude :)

I believe they take the same 20% that Fiverr does. Though you are allowed to deposit money, unlike Fiverr. And when you buy a gig you dont have to pay a fee as the buyer.

Seoclerks better option that Fiverr, but still youre looking at a 20% loss at least.

OP what about Payoneer?

Just make another paypal accounts. I am telling you it is feeling good to wait 180 days every accounts at some points. Rather than 75% sales drop.

I know Payoneer however not familiar with it, is it as popular and accepted in the USA? I'm from Europe however allot of my customers are in the USA. Only like 40% is based in Europe.

By going the stealth route? I've heard mixed opinions about that and how long these lasts.

Are you always guaranteed the money after 180 days? I'm currently waiting another 178ish days for my own personal PayPal's cash to be released. Account is dead.

I started using Payoneer recently. I mean, nothing beats Paypal in terms of popularity. But for example you can accept card payments, so a lot of people would pay like that.

About the 180 day hold. I have 3+ more months to wait on $10k from my personal Paypal :( and another 5+ months from a family member's Paypal for about $2.5k. These are legit accounts. I sure hope i get the money back.

Thats an interesting concept actually by @Dung Nguyen , just make peace that youre gonna lose Paypal accounts and wait 180 days for the money, and churn and burn.

The only problem is, is Paypal gonna give you the money after 180 days or what? Thats what scares me.

Stealth PayPal accounts or/and services like ShareIt/Avangate/etc. Be careful with naming buttons on PayPal.

What do you mean be careful wih naming buttons?

You're gonna get your money, don't worry.

@thaw, use payoneer, cryptocurrencies, stripe or anything else but paypal, direct deposit would be your best option.

Thanks man, I'll look into Payoneer.

Why did they put a hold?
Because I broke their terms according to them, however I never got an explanation about it just 2 copy and paste emails.

Thanks man, I have signed up for stripe and ill look into Payoneer as well.

Combination of Payoneer and BTC will surely help to compensate for the loss pf PayPal. Fuck PayPal BTW :)

Payoneer better then Stripe?

Yeah fuck PayPal. I do hope I get my money back though.

I sure hope so man, I sure hope so. Until I get that money withdrawn to my bank I don't believe nothing.

I see all these people getting paid with direct deposit, but to me that's so foreign. Who pays with a direct deposit? It's like, would that be the so called "wire transfer"?

I also never got an explanation why I was suspended. I wasn't given the ability to appeal. And my money frozen for 180 days. Paypal is total shit! They made so much money from me over the years, and to treat me like that. Fucking paypal...

Sorry to say, but it's won't compensate for the loss of Paypal. Even with Perfectmoney and Webmoney into the mix, nothing can compensate for the loss of Paypal. It's just the way it is. I hope it changes in the future.

Yeah fuck PayPal. I do hope I get my money back though.

I agree completely, same here :)

I think you will have issues with the stealth route since the money is coming from a niche Instagram page. You would need to have a new page/website to avoid any kind of linking.

Stealth's can last a long time ( Years ) Depends on luck and how you run it. You can always make many and build em up.

I have 3 PayPal's at the moment.

Currently I'm just discussing all via Instagram DM and let them know my PayPal address in there and then let them send the x amount via services directly.

I'm currently experimenting with a Shopify store. The store is set up as a different niche and the person's would then just pay for an random product and I would deliver the goods outside of Shopify.

Good idea or what would you do?

Shopify sounds like a good idea, i think they can process payments onsite and payout to you right ?

TBH suspensions are part and parcel of dealing with PayPal, however running stealth's is quite simple. You can keep several PayPal's going cashout the money asap, one goes down just open another. The suspension no longer becomes a big deal.
