I say... BOTH

Some sites got inflated trust flow, based on just one strong backlink
I always check trustflow and then a bit of an investigation to see how that trust flow came to be all together

Honestly i think 1 pbn can link to two sites.. but for the best i think 1 pbn for 1 site is better

Both isn't a deciding factor.
When it comes down to it, something has to be more important.
If I have a domain with a single backlink giving it high TF, from an OK website with inflated TF.
And a site with 15 HQ backlinks but lower TF
The one with the 15 backlinks would be better over some third party metric...
Eventually you have to decide on sites, can't buy them all.

Metrics are a guide only to carefully check RD. Use all backlink checkers at your disposal + wayback.

It's really very simple: you want urls with edu, national paper, authority sites.

I have carried out tests whereby 8RD .edu are more powerful than countless junk links.

if you build those PBN like niche base you must create a group/network. if you create like general one yeah you can use all the sites with unique IP and hosting also

How did you decide on 50 sites to start?

I would recommend building 2 sites(one niche), put towards a page that is on pg 2. Then do that for the other niche, 2-3 sites, page 2-3 ranking page. Then switch back to the first niche, build 2-3 to home page, then back and forth, back and forth. Build it slowly, if everything is done right(onpage, keyword research, foundation links) you'll see ample success before you need 2 50 site networks.

Or expired domains with niche content and decent backlink profile?

I wouldn't have a homepage post to each on the homepage of all 50 if you want to be super safe.

You could use inner pages on 10-15 to post to the second site as long as there's no connections and they both have plenty of other backlinks.

But, you CAN quite safely do it. It's only going to be caught algorithmically if both sites ONLY have those pbns as their backlinks.

You're only going to be in a problematic situation if you get a manual review, but those are pretty damn rare.

So if you have a LOT of budget and are more concerned with safety, build a custom pbn for each site, however, if you want to maximize the money you have, then use your custom pbn for both sites.

To make it undetectable to the algorithm, also add a couple of posts on each blog, linking to 2-3 random sites to confuse the algorithm.

And you don't specifically need to have just tech pbns for a tech site. That isn't natural. Tech sites have links from everywhere.

A health site could link to a tech site with an article about medical technology. A travel site could link to a tech site because it's got an article about the latest boeing, and it's linking to some engine tech. So get creative with your pbns.

BUT, what does matter with your pbn is to make sure the niche of the pbn matches the previous niche of the domain. If you slap a travel site on a domain that was health related, it won't be operating at maximum power.

I currently own two ecommerce sites.

Both sites rank very well in google and bing serps.

I have always purchased PBN posts. However, I am looking at setting up my own PBN network.

Approximately 50 sites to start.

Site 1 is tech niche. Site 2 is home niche.

My questions is:

Can each PBN site link out to both sites?

Or should I create two networks - one network for each site?

This was a pretty good list except the last point which isn't the case, but arguably in your case subjective to the number and quality of RD of a url.

The best thing is to keep PBN topical. As you have 2 sites about different topics, it is better to use different PBNs for them. However, there can be "general" PBNs where you can post news.

A dedicated PBN per site is always good, & niche relevance is vital.
