Question: Star Ratings on Google

Hey guys, I have just got a quick question.

What wordpress plugin do you guys use for schema/rich snippets?

In addition to this, what do you use to verify your schema is going to display correctly?

Used to use all in one schema but the Googs just gave me a manual action and told me to remove my rich snippets.

Im actually trying to find out what the plugin is at the bottom of this page https://runrepeat.com/best-nike-basketball-shoes as it looks like it doesn't set off Google schema alarm bells.

any idea why u got a manual action? was it really just from the schema plugin??

im looking to implement something on my site to get the star ratings in SERPS

has anyone had success with any WP plugins? trying to keep the manual coding aspect to a minimum here

and does anyone know if you have to have a business address in order to get reviews?

Yeah as soon as I got rid of the plugin and showed the Googs that it was deactivated then they removed my manual action.
It was because in the Googs eyes i was self-rating my articles and then this self rating would turn up in the SERPs.
The Googs prefers your readers to rate your articles and then have this rating turn up in the SERPs.

Such a joke though as my competition are self-rating their articles as well.

Im now just basically reporting my competition for any article they self-rate via this URL https://support.google.com/webmasters/contact/rich_snippets_spam

I can't see why Googs can't penalise every site using schema incorrectly in their eyes...
Incorrect/false schema turning up in the SERPs is a bad Google user experience and Google don't want their users going to webpages that are reviewed by webmasters.
Learnt this lesson
Hasn't really done anything to my rev$ though, still on track to make $150-200 this month off my site with only 15 articles...

As long as that plugin draws in reviews from readers/users then your fine - I recommend not creating your own reviews.

If you got a non-reviews site using reviews just to get stars on SERPs it's super easy to detect and ban. Why would a regular articles site get stars if you don't sell anything that people can review?

The competitors are probably disguising this somehow, by adding something reviewable to the articles.
