Hi all,

I've got a kiddies channel that's 12 years old, with 80k subs & it gets around 100k views a day, but it's been demonetized. I've had it reviewed (& rejected) twice since then & I get the feeling that no matter what I do, YT aren't going to change their minds.

Anyhoo, I'm not here to rant about that (seriously, don't get me started) .. Instead, I was wondering if anyone here knows of & can recommend an alternative way of making money out of this channel?

As I'm getting 100k views a day, I was thinking of linking up with Amazon & using product placement (displaying toys & such in the video descriptions) but as most of my viewers are toddlers, I don't think I would be very successful.

It's killing me that (at the moment) 100k views a day is going to waste, but I can't think of any alternative ways to capitalize on it.

So .. any suggestion?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Fuzzy.

You can always place a CTA in the video to click the link in the description, and place cpa offers there.

You can redirect viewers to other yt channel. What is the niche of your channel?

It's a drawing & coloring in channel for kids, but unfortunately (going by the gobbledygook they write in the comments) most of them can't read or write, so redirecting probably wouldn't work .. plus, I don't have another YT channel (that's monetized) to send them to.

I would still use the Amazon affiliate link.

If the kid acidenaaccid hits it, your cookie lasts for 24 hours. If someone outs something in the basket in that 24 hours, it becomes a 90 day cookie.

There might be better options, but I would do that NOW, so you might have some success.

Hi, I would start a new channel and redirect with link in description top to playlist ;) probably get enough to partner in 2-3 weeks :

If you dont mind. I am in the kids niche myself, just went from 160k/day views (mainly suggested) to now after some work for a week 40k/day. Though nothing from suggested still. Feels like ive been blocked from it.

How did you get demonetized? And have you lost insane amounts of suggested views just instantly on basically all videos?
New videos i upload doesnt get a single suggested view. Used to get 30-40k first day now like 150-250 views first day...

I guess they just reviewed it, like they're doing to all of the channels .. As far as your views go, I wouldn't worry too much. In the last couple of years, my channel has gone from 20k to 400k views a day & back again .. & now after a couple of months, it's rising again, so just stick with it.

I understand the new channel & redirect part, but what do you mean by .. "to playlist" ?

Redirect definetly works bro.
Try it.
One question tho.
I see alot of people myself included until now
add videos i/they uploaded before and put them behind a new video to make the lenght of the video above 10min so i/they could stuff more ads in them.
That's a big NO NO for YouTube.
That's gaming the system and you will not get monetized if you have videos on your channel like that.
They see it as repeated content which is one of the things they added this year or last year to their TOS.
Big channels get away with it cause they bring in a shitton of money.
So if you did this, m go shorten them to just have unique videos and reapply again.

If this isnt the case then i hope this will help someone else.

I would do the amazon link, since if your audience is toddlers they might be playing around with the phone and accidentally press on your Aff link which is most likely their parent's phone.

Then their parents will buy random things on their phone later on...

Affiliate links are hard to monetize on the kids channel, cause kids hardly go to the description, and even if they click the link accidentally, there is no way they can complete the transaction, so it narrows down to parents, and not many parents are going to buy something which their kid pressed accidentally, you can try your luck on getting sponsors.

Or you can buy an already monetized youtube channel, then upload the kids niche video on that channel too, now your first channel is getting a lot of views right? So, create the end cards at the end of videos of the unmonetized channel and link them to videos of the monetized channel, do same with the i button, post the video links of the second channel in the description and top of the comment of first channel's videos, community tab. Promote your monetized channel in every way possible on your first channel, and for the views to roll in.

btw What reason did youtube give you for not monetizing your channel?

I would go with Amazon right now just to test things out and see if you get any sales. You can link to the "coolest toys" or whatever. Even if the kids don't buy, they still click and "plant" the cookie. So if their parents will go an buy some household stuff within the next 24 hours you will get the commission from that.

Then, see if you will be getting toys sales from Amazon. If yes, then you can start a dropshipping store and potentially make even more money.

What reason did youtube give you for not monetizing your channel?

They've given different reasons each time. The first time it was reused content, which is BS & then on the second review they said it was due to mass-produced content, which really annoyed me, because on average, it takes me about 4 days of drawing, animation & editing to produce just one video.

It's like your doctor telling you that you've got cancer & you need to chop off a body part, but he won't tell you which part. So you go away & chop off a leg, then hop back to see him & he says "You've still got cancer, you need to chop off a body part" ... "What body part?" ... "I'm not telling you" ... & so on.

Try adding some voice over on your videos, just enough so that the youtube robot knows what kind of videos this is (nowadays if you are not monetized usually YT will refuse to monetize your channel without voice over on the videos) but you could maybe contact youtube creators on twitter see if they can answer you (probably not but who knows...)

You add the video's of your new channel to a playlist and then link to that playlist in the top section of your Description on the videos on your de-monetized channel. I have a subscribe there and that greatly increased my subs/day.
Unfortunately, I have my own issues with YT these days. They seem to be just blocking and secretly penalizing people all over the place right now.
