I got the SAME. Completely the same. I tried request indexing and it got back in 2 minutes. Try this!Same here. 2 days ago root is deindexed then yesterday indexed and today got deindexed again

Well my rankings have rocketed up last couple of days...I guess this is the reason, dam it!

Go to GWT, URL Inspection -> Request indexing. It should get back.

It happened to one of my sites as well. Homepage quit showing on 4/6, but inner pages ranking well. I had this happen way back when with penguin 1, but that time it was a manual penalty. This time I thought it was because I had changed the homepage title to be more keyword focused, so I changed it back and submitted to GSC, within minutes page was back. So, it looks like this is an across the board issue and not a penalty?

Same. The main index page was de indexed 2 days back but when i checked again today it was there. Don't know whats happening with google.
I first noticed a substantial drop in our Google local rankings on Friday. We had been #1 in the local results (three pack) for several years for our primary keyword phrase but had dropped suddenly to #8 (although we remained #1 in the organic SERPs). I discovered that two of our pages had been de-indexed, so I requested re-indexing. They were indexed within a few minutes as everyone else has described, and we shot back up to #1 for our primary keywords shortly thereafter. This happened three or four times over the weekend, and I went through the same exercise each time. I have been checking the Google Search Console periodically, and our pages have fully indexed for nearly 24 hours. We are ranking #1 for our targeted keyword phrases most of the time, but the rankings continue to fluctuate. None of our competitors appears to have been affected. I believe Google is still experiencing issues, unless this is the new normal.
