Ok, so I'm a little worried right now about a weird indexing issue I just discovered concerning my website. So, to give a little background I just launched a new site on a fresh domain about 2 months ago. I've added a few articles all targeting a certain keyword and everything has been indexed so far. In addition, I'm ranking within the top 50 for most of my keywords already. The problem I noticed is that suddenly google is showing the wrong page in the search results for some of my keywords. Allow me to clarify below.
For example, I am targeting 3 different keywords (each article targets one keyword)
KW #1: Dumbbell Weight Training
KW #2: Kettlebell Weight Training
KW #3: Plate Weight Training
Now, "Dumbbell Weight Training" is ranking high and showing up whenever you search for it. This is obviously ok and exactly what we want. The problem happens when you search for the other keywords. For example, if I search "Kettlebell Weight Training" I see that it shows my "Dumbbell Weight Training" Page in the serps which is irrelevant and the same things happens if I search for "Plate Weight Training" It just shows "Dumbbell Weight Training" page and completely disregards the other pages.
I hope that makes sense. And yes the pages all have unique and lengthy content and are properly optimized. The even stranger thing was that just a few days ago everything was fine and the relevant pages were showing up for the relevant search terms, but now it's like google decided to replace those pages with the "Dumbbell Weight Training" Page.
I'd also like to note that this is not happening for all my keywords, only for about half. Has anyone had this happen before? I will note that a lot of my pages have only been indexed for a couple weeks at most. And have only just started building a few links to them.
I know I'll have to be patient but I really hope this issue is corrected. Otherwise it seems like Google is failing as a search engine for showing irrelevant content lol (obviously that would defeat their purpose so I know that can't be the case). Thanks in advance!
P.S. The keywords listed above I just made up but note that the styling is the same in that all my real keywords would contain the common phrase "Weight Training" preceded by some verb.
