I bought Quize yesterday. It's a great plugin, much better than other paid ones, but in my opinion it needs some improvement.
Plugin has 3 strategies which are made to get as much paid ad impressions from a single user as possible. This is good. But if you want the user to do multiple quizzes then it wont work in my opinion. If the user doesnt know some of the answers he will have to guess them everytime to pass the quiz. It's good for a bigger revenue but eventually this user will leave the page because he can't pass it or don't want to answer same question over and over again to just finish the quiz.
Quizzes become viral because people share them; if they can see their results at the end ("You got x/x correct"), then they just want to compare their results with their friends to see what score they will get.
So what I suggest is adding a 4th strategy in which you can see your results on final page without having to answer every question correctly. Other strategies would work great with english grammar quizzes or something like that, where you learn from the quiz. But it wouldn't work with "Guess that football player name" for example, because when the user doesnt know the answer theres no point to ask him the same question until he answers it correctly.
Thanks for kind words and sharing your experience!
The plugin does work differently than the others and does not do some things that others plugin do for a simple reason - this will affect the revenue you make, and I want you to make as much as possible.
Quiz becomes viral not because of the share button but because of good content. The option to share is being added and coming in very soon, however as mentioned it could be used right now by using options of your theme.
The strategies shape user behavior and let you understand how to build your content towards your traffic to make the highest revenue. So to give you an example, if you use the strategy where in case of incorrect answer user returns to the very beginning make those questions very easy. If you have 10 questions where 9 of them super easy but question 10 is hard - you will make user pass through quiz 2 times. Upon fail user will think "Just one question left, I can do that!' and he will go through a quiz again and will pass it. In case you're using the strategy where the user does not go to the next question until current question is not answered correctly - make questions hard, but do not make a lot of choices, 4 max, in this case, the user will bring you double page views on some questions. On the strategy where questions shuffled at the end, you can make questions of any difficulty, but ensure that there is a chance that user won't answer all the questions in one go and will see few of them at the end.
The resul at the end is always the same 'You passed', however, I have received so many requests on the results on the final page so currently I work with the team to create analytics for internal use (so you know the performance of each quiz) with results to be shared on the final page. The results will showthe user his fails and questions where he failed, so by sharing user can ask if his friends could pass quiz better than him (or not).
There are many things we working on right now, so stay tuned!
