First of all, DA & PA is a toy and not valuable metrics and can be manipulate. I personally know some website use a grayhat techinque and get to DA 50 after like 7 months. Second, everything is possible if you have enough cashflow.

I think DA after the last MOZ update became better metric and lots of websites DA decreased because of crap backlinks. I know ahrefs is better metric. Also it's not only about the quality but quantity is must, because i never seen for example 50 DA with only 1k backlinks even if the most comes from authority sites, to reach 50 DA you need at least 10k backlinks and most of them must be from authority sites.

I think they spent more than $100k for each website and if the monthly traffic is 6millions then the monthly income only from adsense is close to $15-20k.

I have seen several other sites to follow similar strategy. They actually choose a niche at first and grow one site to become an authority by spending a lot of money and marketing. They initially use their existing social media groups, press release and footer backlinks on homepage. This alone will bring the new site to first page on SERPs for many keywords without making other backlinks. But in this case, they have millions of backlinks, so they must have followed a strategy that they used on other sites too.

I'm in entertainment niche and I've seen this type of group websites many times. It is more like a PBN which grows it's affiliate sites without hiding them. For example, if there is a site like Rotten tomatoes, they can make affiliate sites in the same niche like those related to Indian cinema, Korean cinema, Chinese cinema etc. All these sites follow an interlinking strategy that helps them grow together. I was looking for comments from advanced users instead of regular money can buy you anything posts.
