I would recommend not blocking the ghost followers, remove them instead. Many people are not familiar with this but Instagram does have an option to remove followers.

Thank you. If the person is using follow / unfollow, then it is much better to block the ghosts. Why? Because you will end up following them again and they are already inactive - wasted actions. If you do not do follow / unfollow then, yeah, I can see why simply removing them could be beneficial. But, if they have not been active for the last 30 / 60 posts then I do not believe they will ever be and simply getting them to follow you again and not liking is dead weight in my opinion. But, it is definitely an option
