Hello, got a question about logic.. or footprint so to say.

I got two similar-ish money sites on same hosting provider (I know it isn't recommended but sites are too complex to easily move to other host).

Site 1 got a decent load of PBN-s pointed to it (all from different hosts)

Site 2 got just a few (from yet more different hosts)

My question is:
If I'm using big hosts like directnic, hostgator.. for PBNs pointed at SITE 1
Is it a footprint if I make one more different site on those same hosts and point them to SITE 2 ?

I don't see how could that be a footprint coz both of those hosts are huge but I'd still like to hear a few opinions, and it would make my life easier regarding tracking and renewing everything :)

Would it be on the same hosting ACCOUNT? It's about your IPs being connected if I understand it correctly. So, if it's not under the same hosting account/IP/plan, then it's theoretically not a footprint. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If I understand your question, it is not on same hosting account.

Example being, I just took a second hosting plan and domain on directnic.
When I look at Shared IP Address in each plan console, one is 199.7.xxx.xxx other is 197.7.yyy.yyy

Here, graphically asked :)

(made an error on pic, bottom left should say PBN 1)

Can't seem to add a pic or link here, probably because of my low post count. Please check above in browser.

Rule of thumb, if it is the same account (i.e the same re-seller package or FTP account) you will leave a very clear footprint. If it is on the same re-seller account then you should be fine provided that you use a different mix of hosting on each money site.

you can always check the IP address to compare each site if you are not sure

Happy to help if you need to know more

I had to read your answer 3x to finally get it :)

What you're saying is..
I should NOT use same mix of hosts to link to both sites, like:
MoneySite 1 links: hostwinds, hostgator,directnic
MoneySite 2 links: hostwinds, hostgator,directnic

And also separate hosting plan for each pbn, gotcha :)

What I'm saying is: Your hosting server has an IP address, which is what your website would point to/be referenced as. So, if you pay for an entirely different package/hosting account, you SHOULD be good to go and not leave a footprint.

I have a feeling you didn't entirely read my question. TWO money sites are involved.

Made a thread the other day similar to this but didn't get a response so I'm glad I'm not the only one with this question.

From my understanding you'll need to move one of your money sites to a separate hosting account so that it has a different ip address from your other money site.

If there's an easier way to change the ip address of a money site without buying another hosting account though I would love to hear it.

I don't know if you're labeling those right. Why would MS1 also link to MS1 but MSN would link to the PBN?

ffs, read what I wrote under the link - bottom left should say PBN 1 :)

Moving the other money site a good idea if you have a spare host, but is not as important, as this is the end point of your network cluster, you are more likely to get slapped it if you have interlocking link networks from your PBN - TO those Money sites

So for example if your two money sites are hosted on two re-seller packages on your hostgator account this should not give you too any dramas

however if the PBNs linking to those money sites cross paths then it can bring the whole house of cards down for both money sites

Does that make sence ???

I think it does make sense.

Just a correction, my 2 money sites are on a same dedicated server. Does that change anything in the big picture?

I'd say just don't point them towards eachother.

I made this thread to get a few more opinions...
My situation is a bit complex, since I need a strong dedicated server to power up both money sites, moving one would be expensive and complex (lots of configurations involved).
I know the situation would be more bulletproof if MS1 and MS2 weren't on the same server but hell, it is what it is.

But anyway... the way I see it, my idea is good to go, simply because different hosting plans with domain privacy will look totally unrelated to google, specially because both of my sites already got a nice bunch of all kinds of backlinks. Directnic1 and Directnic2 (or any other host x2 towards 2 MSites) will look like plain coincidence, and I'll only do it on couple more bigger hosts (hostgator and such).

Thanks all :)

Depends where and how you are hosted.

But if you are with a big web host, you are clearly hiding in plain sight, google will not be able to link you up with any of the sites. For example, if you are with shared hosting of hostgator you will be hosting alongside 500 to 5k websites, almost all of them will be money sites or real sites.

Google bot makes easy connections when you are on single dedicated IP or say all your PBNs are coming from dedicated IPs, or say there are many PBNs in one IP So, if you have chosen your host carefully then you should be good with your PBNs.

You are doing the correct method

Yes, it can be a footprint but will need to see other factors like ownership of your money sites, registrar details etc. But you want to do it so that cost is lesser, correct. In that case, ensure that there exists no pattern in linking so that both your money sites can be linked to you or single ownership

I'm kinda of presuming that google KNOWS that both money sites have a same owner, mostly due to dedicated server and IP.

I'll make sure of the following:
- will not use same mix of hosts
- no crosslinking (no PBN will ever link to both MSes)
- all PBNs have whois privacy - I know it is not recommended but since I have a bunch of other natural links of all kinds, it becomes normal
(whois info is also the hardest footprint to hide, mostly because it is difficult to keep track of so many emails and fake info with all the other things happening)

Another noteworthy thing is:
- I'm doing the HARD method of making pbns - custom graphics, unique handwritten content, unique media, updates, logos, different plugins... proper sites in every way (yes, I'm crazy :P )

The more effort you put into your PBNs the longer it lives. It pays to be crazy sometimes
