100k owned built account hacked help

Hi all, we got a problem with our account. Basically this morning we're received an email saying that an request for email password has been requested and 2 hours after that, a new login for the account was noticed.

As the first email was sent at 4am, we didn't notice until the second email came through. Right now w are frantically trying to regain the account but unfortunately searching for the account said that the account is no longer available?

Any of you can offer any advice in the mean time please?

Contact Instagram. Even though it's frightening in the moment, as long as you have the original email you'll be fine.

What he said. Ya probably have some kind of keylogger inside your pc. If theres nothing, reset your router...

Thanks all. Is there an email address we can write to or can we just reply directly to the email from Instagram?
The password for the account is only for the Instagram account so that's the only silver lining at the moment. The account is also linked to Facebook so we will try that direction.
Any more help is very much appreciated.

Go in app click forgot password and try reset through there. If not work go in app hit need help and click my account is been hacked and fill out the form.

The hacker has already changed the profile name and email account so any if tbe steps mentioned above didn't work. I guessed I'll just have to wait until Instagram support gets in touch?

Yeah, you'll definitely get the account back its just a matter of time for support to respond.

Contact support ( I am sure you would have done that but you didn't get any reply yet )

Don't just mail them, tweet them , message them on fb , message them on IG ( just try to contact them everywhere )

If you have the original email with which the account was created, then you can get it back. Just follow the steps as stated above..One of my 30k account was hacked and I got it back in 48 hours, after getting in touch with the support

All, just an update of this.

After a whirlwind in the events, we got help from 2 professionals. One with history of helping others recovering hacked accounts while the other one is the Instagram's employee. At the end of the day, it was the latter that help us.

Upon retrieving the account, there were two emails accounts that the hacker used to link to our insta account. Is there anyway we can back track it?

I think it's no use to track that dude. Just use from now on a longer and safer password and be careful what you download in the future.
