So, anyone else noticed a spike in "unnatural links" penalty msgs before the "core update" roll out on March 12? Looks like what they did is took all the info from disavow files and added to their "core".
Just curious who here got an "unnatural links" penalty at the beginning of March?

yes i got unnatural links msg too, and submit disavow file. but nothing. ranking goes more down.

Yes, sadly the boneheads on BHW are still using/building Google’s disavow ML database and helping them build future anti-PBN/spam algorithms.

1) Use some very basic detection methods to send unnatural links penalties to the worst offenders (or manual reviewers over X period of time).

2) All blackhats freak out because they forgot they’re doing... blackhat SEO... and there is risk involved. Eventually losing a site should somewhat be expected if you’re building PBN links etc. (Especially if your competitors can see the links).

3) Blackhats submit all PBN links/other purchased links to disavow. Which has been proven time and again to do nothing but help Shoogle identify spam links.

4) Go*gle uses data to find footprints and create new algos.

5) Blackhats file reconsideration after practically writing G’s algorithms for them.

6) Go*gle laughs at them and never accepts their reconsideration request.

This is how they killed mass spam links, and this is how they want to other things that still work.

Free labor from blackhat SEOs.

What you want people to do than? Stop the site and throw it away, what about legit sites. What about people hiring expensive writers or buy editorial links?

It can be good on churn and burn sites but not on legitimate ones. They have to recover the sites somehow.

Disavow tool was probably the smartest invention by G**gle.

G**gle core update = we need to take all the domains from the disavow files that we gathered over the years and devalue the ranking benefits that they pass.

and how to recover ? there is not any msg , just got rank down ! 5 positions .

I specified using PBN links, not editorial links or anything else. You shouldn’t be using public PBN networks on “legitimate” sites.

Also there isn’t really any churn and burn nowadays, everything takes at minimum a few months to rank. But that doesn’t change the fact that we are doing blackhat SEO and there is/always has been risk involved.

Without people using the disavow tool, killing mass spam and other techniques would’ve been exponentially harder for Gulag. Please don’t repeat the same mistake for all other working methods.

We all know the fact that Google uses this to their advantage but what else we can do rather than try to recover it?
