What's with all these WSO type Marketplace threads? Selling ebooks (information) is the new trend in BHW? These are few of many I've seen past few days.

Personally, I have no problem with any of these sellers (Virku, Jefis etc).
But this is what made a lot of people quit WF and come to BHW. Hate to see that happen to BHW. @Diamond Damien @Apricot

My vote is against selling informational products.

The moment the trend keep going up , Everyone will start restricting themselves from giving the informing then start pushing them to BST.

The little FREE information we getting makes the forum great.

To a certain extent, yupp; but look on the positive side... Some people are actually making some decent cash for sharing the methods. What do they get if they share it for free? Also, because less amount of users buy the method, it will survive for a longer time. A win for everyone...

Some methods would become saturated and useless if released to the general public, so a paywall is a great way to share the information with some while limiting the potential of over-saturation.

Free knowledge is great, but creating paid content (as long as it's useful) isn't bad at all.

Did these eBook sellers want to create a sell thread earlier on BHW but BHW refused and just now is BHW accepting them? Or are these sellers popping up just now and would have approved the threads at an earlier time aswell? I don't know the answer to this but OP is kinda building the narritive he wants to see and not raising the right questions that maybe he's wrong.

I have no issues with info products, they are still checked and approved by mods

Seriously information or method should not be sold on BHW. BHW being the only place to get quality Free information and Methods is the reason this forum is legendary . The rate of selling guides is now increasing by the day, what used to be free on BHW. You discovered method doesn't you who will always be there to use your method forever ,surely we will all leave earth one day wonder if your method will follow you to your grave .
