You need to get acquainted with phpmyadmin. You will have less heart attacks and more ways to solve your problems. Also there is pretty good backup plugins for Wordpress. Make scheduled backups in dropbox or onedrive or ... and sleep well))

1. Restore a backup ( if you have one );
2. Add a new user in the SQL: MyPHPAdmin -> Select your DB -> Users -> Add new user. For the password ( because it is in the SQL style ), I suggest to install a new blank WordPress page on a subdomain ( different from your website source ), insert a simple password ( ex "123678" ) and save it. Next, go to MyPHPAdmin -> Select your DB -> Users -> and copy the password ( the password of the new wp user will be something like AB39XM2SK38FDS2Sm21OpX ... ). Next, go back to your first database ( where you have the issue ), add new user and in the field of password paste AB39XM2SK38FDS2Sm21OpX ( the 123678 password ). Click Save and try to login.

Believe it or not hostgator can’t seem to restore the site, they had to escalate it to tier 2 support... if anyone here knows how to get it fixed could they? I’ll pay for the help

If the backup is corrupted or nonexistent, the next option would be pulling the content from Archive.org.

Also, switch to a new host. Most hosting companies have multiple backups and free restores, which would have fixed your issue in a matter of minutes.

RESTORE THAT JAUNT. Seriously, contact your web host provider asap. They should automatically back it up for you but they never guarantee it on their part.

Lesson learnt! There are so many free WP backup plugins, automated, that only take a few minutes to set up. I would do it now....

If it's only the user what got deleted you can insert a new one to the database with the id "1" and the correct roles.

The popular plugins all have an email option to alert you if a backup failed, or to alert you of a sucessful backup. Personally I have set to only alert me if failed and then can go in and check manually. I have it backup to dropbox and automatically keep several before they drop off so can always go back. You can even set one for daily and one weekly or monthly to be absolutely sure you have a good known backup should something happen that you arn't aware of... Short answer is it only takes minutes to setup and you never have to panic again
