Is Tor Browser safe for anonymity?

The problem with TOR, as with any other piece of software is that it's created by humans. Generally speaking the community is great about revealing vulnerabilities, but you can't really say the same for the government. They very well could be holding vulnerabilities in their pockets. Then there is user errors creating leaks via JavaScript, etc. There is also the case of spyware already being on the machine phoning home habits from behind enemy lines. The only true way to remain anonymous is to anonymity every step of the way... Machine with zero identifiable information -> Anonymous Connection (I use 4g connections) -> VPN / Privatizing Proxies with clearnet firewalls-> Tor -> Final Destination. Even in this case all persistent storage needs encrypting because even with this you can still leave fingerprints or fall into honeypots.

no,its not fully anonymous.if you want to be fully anonymous use fraud fox.fraud fox makes fully anonymous.

like others mentined use it in combination with an VPN preffered not an us company for vp and you should be fine and anonymous with your surfing Tor is great browser but as a standaolne option it is simple not enough if you want to be sure.

Using tor will make your anonymous but not private. VPN will solve this but there's a whole plentiful of problems & security issues that could arise from using a bad vpn such as traffic correlation/alignment. Also some vpns may keep logs so a VPN can actually make it worse. Probably best to stick to tor as it will accomplish your goal of anonymity.

I think Tails OS is the best way to use Tor.

Back in the Snowden leak, the NSA was able to look into VPNs without problems, whereas linux with TOR was "catastrophic" for them.

The Snowden leaks were also nearly 6 years ago,

I read some reddit discussions recently and they say to NEVER use Tor with VPN.....

I see all sorts of contradicting tips on using Tor I guess someone really doesn't want Tor to be fully secure.

Tor is secure for itself i just suggested for added protection to use a VPN but its not a must

I'm no expert in this stuff but what I understood is that a VPN actually confuses or exposes some of Tor's protections. I don't know why, something about endpoints. I might be wrong.
