Hi all. Just wondering if using a URL shortener on your CPA links can cause a decrease in conversions or any other issues? I have links running, and Bit.ly shows for example 40 clicks, yet the CPA network only registered 32 clicks
Thanks

Nop no negatives as at all assuming that you have a prelander/cloaker and not just straight up url shortener.

The conversions were the same for me (with or without bitly) and also the 32 clicks that the CPA network shows is only on your content locker and not the landing page itself. So 32 out 40 ppl is pretty good

People have been using shorteners like bit.ly for some time for CPA. It's a good way of hiding your cpa links.

And this is why you need a link tracker where you can set sub ID's and a postback URL so you know exactly what is going on.

Ironically, you have a bit.ly link in your details.:weep:

Ironically it isn't a link to a CPA offer and it's used for what bit.ly is for, shortening long ass link.

Somehow I feel bit.ly looks spammy to some and they dont click. So I have installed custom script on my own domain which works same like bit.ly and i use my own custom url for shortening

Bitly is primarily a link shortener and as a bonus it counts clicks but with CPA there is so much more than clicks. WIth CPA you NEED to track conversions, clicks, Split-test lander and track which one performs better and often track times, OS and when you go even deeper you need to track even more things ;) It's all about analyzing data, tweaking it, analyzing continuously till you find the best result and then you scale it the fuck up.

CPA without a proper tracker is like fishing without a lure, you might get lucky but probably not.

This is what I was wanting to do but I don't know if I'm able to do it. My website is hosted and made through Wix.

Thanks you for this information. However, I'm not doing a traditional "CPA Method" so I don't think it applies as much.

But thank you all for the responses!
