Can you index a backlink with nofollow blog comments?

Also, do-follow backlinks from profile pages from websites with high DA are of any use (if you manage to index them) ?

Of course you can index a page with nofollow blog comments. If the page has "NO INDEX" tag in the header than you can't get that page indexed.

You can build high DA profiles backlinks but if i were you i wouldn't do too much (just the top 50 would be enough) + Don't use your keyword as anchor (use a mix of generic ,naked url and brand anchors) + most probably they won't get index bec of thin content but you can just ping them and let google know the links are there. I think getting a link indexed is a very important factor but pinging it and lettin Google know you have a backlink from that site may be enough if it is not getting indexed.

I think yes. It will not pass the link juice or authority from that page but google will surely crawl them.

Can you please explain how to ping google? Thought you can only ping google on sites you own through google search console? How do you ping on a blog which you do not own?

Pinging and getting it indexed through Webmaster Tools are 2 diffrent things. If you ping a page few times (once every day for a few days would be good) google bots will most probably come to that url and read the page. That doesn't mean indexing though. G might or might not index it. Usually if you have a good unique content on that page it will get indexed. If it is thin content like just a profile page with 1 sentence writing and a backlink to your site it won't.

On the blog home page write the url you want to send bots too.

First check if it is duplicate content. Copy 2 sentences of the post from the page u try to get indexed and paste it on google. If you see lots of results it will probably won't get indexed so don't bother. If it is unique and high quality and there aren't any other posts indexed similar to that page on google after pinging give it some time and it will get indexed eventually. The other thing you can do is build backlinks to that blog post but it is too much effort to get a comment link indexed=). Instead of that forget about it and build high quality backlinks from blogs,web 2.0's,image , video sites,social media to your site. Don't waste your time with a blog comment link.

Thanks bud, have tried the pinging thing. Would report back in a week or so. Agreed, building backlinks to a comment is too time consuming.
