Would purchasing an email list in my niche be useful?

I run a drop-shipping site in the home and garden niche. We currently have a pretty good email list built up, but would like to scale it quicker. If I were to purchase an email list in my niche, would it at all be beneficial or a waste of money?

It depends on the List Quality... There are many factors to test...
