All my videos muted : Will I get monetized ?

Hello, I started a gaming channel with face cam commentary ( my own face) 2 month ago, fully organic, I reach the threshold today
But now I have a big problem : I used some copyright music, to avoid any problem , i muted all my videos

In each video we can see my face, all video oriiginal

Do you think it will be a problem for monetization ?

Well deer in most cases if there's a copyrighted music, you don't receive a strike but the one who's holding the rights will profit from your video and not you.

That's not really a problem. As long as the video content is still original and produced by you, not auto generated, etc., then you can apply for monetization.

Also, generally if you use copyrighted music with UGC you should still get a portion of the revenue since the video content is owned by you, even though a lot of it will be going to the copyright holder.

My experience has been quite different. Yes, a claim is not a strike, but now that they started to manually review all channels that apply for YPP, they are a problem because having multiple claims seems to be a red flag for them. I suppose a few are alright, but if you got a lot of them they might not approve you. Maybe I've just been unlucky tho. Unfortunately, you cannot add a text to your application.

But I'm sure you got decent chances OP, so go ahead and give it a try

Better not to mute your videos, if you have reached the threshold then go ahead and apply for partnership and for future videos make sure to use only copyright free or purchased music.

Muting those videos could trigger YT algo about something unusual so best to stay away from that.
