I'm using Hostwinds. They have a deal for BHW members. Just do a search. Domains? Hate to say it but its GoDaddy for me. $8.60 per year for a .com is hard to come by these days.

I have go Daddy as a domain provider, I'll have to check out what deals they have for hosting and a domain.

Godaddy sucks on the hosting site. I only use them for domains and DNS.

All I have at the moment is 6$ and I want to buy a domain and hosting with it.
I know Godaddy offers .99c .com domains, but everyone on the internet says Godaddy is bad and they are scammers.
Can I buy them a domain from them and transfer to another registrar like namesilo, and use an external VPS cheap hosting with only 6$? How long does it take, and is it free? Is this a good plan, what should I worry about?
Tell me what to do please, I want to start a website today and start monetizing it, and I'm scared Godaddy will scam me later down the road.
