Namecheap question.

Hi everyone, i have been looking into domains and hosting packages as i prepare to start my journey in IM and wondered if anyone had experience with namecheap hosting?

I have seen they are recommended for domains, but have not seen much about their hosting packages and wondered if they are reliable or if i should be looking elsewhere?

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. What kind of visitor numbers would i need to be looking out for to know when i would need to upgrade?

I know i will probably be a long way off before i need to worry about this, but i am trying to get my head round everything i am going to need to do to get set up so I don’t make any costly mistakes.

Once your website starts running slow lol. Or they shoot you an email and say you need to upgrade. I wouldn’t worry about that as of now. Just hustle and build that shit up.

Thanks for the advice. I am thinking i am going to spend a week or 2 planning out what i am going to set up and doing niche and keyword research using info i get from BHW. Hopefully by doing this first i wont be going off half assed and waste time and money trying to build something that has no hope of success.

Haha, my first couple projects cost me around thousand dollars & I broke even on those after a year or so. In all honesty, think of it as a hobby until you really get a feel for things. It’s a fun hobby and can eventually turn into a full time gig.

Check out google keyword planner it’s free lol.

Also, spend the least amount of money possible on your first project. Write all of your own content, make your own logos, etc. Really get a feel for how everything works from the ground up. Now days I have a small team that help me build/update sites. But best believe if shit hit the fan, I could fix everything myself.

Thanks for that, i was planning on learning everything i can from the ground up and treating this like a hobby to start with and see how it goes.

One of the reasons i have decided to take the plunge and get started in IM is for something to do, as due to ill health i spend most of my time at home bored out of my mind lol. If i can turn this into a self funding hobby that would be good for me for starters and if i can then build it into something more from there i would be more than happy with that.

I know it will be hard work but being challenged is something i look forward to.

I was hoping that other than domains and hosting I wouldn’t have many costs, as i plan to do everything i can for myself as i find its the best way to learn.

Thanks, i was mainly just looking for hosting for myself but if i need an affiliate or reseller account i will look elsewhere.

I tried them out on my latest project and was pleasantly surprised.
I've got Bluehost, a 2cpu 8gb VPS, fasthosts and namecheap.

While I've not done like for like, the speed is good enough so I just use it for domains registered with them for the first few pages on WordPress.

just got transferred from Centex to NameCheap - love the feature of being able to get live support anytime + the guys are super helpful - had a few issues with Cloudflare redirect but that's because I am a little bit of a noob when it comes to techny things lol

I have used them for a few sites I have worked on and my own blog find them great, plus free ssl, the customer support are so helpful.
