HELP: On Which URL I should create backlink on post or home page.?

Hello guys,
I have a question which has been asked by one of my subscribers, and I am not sure about the answer so I want to ask you all so that I can help him and give him correct information.
the question is:
I have a website and the same website has AMP version as well but while creating backlink ( by commenting or profile or any web2.0 submission) which URL I should use. because for the amp the URL of the same article is different and the main website article is different.

You should link to the website url, as amp is the part of website and just for mobile version. But the link to the website url will be treated for both.
