Hi guys I have tried to renew my apple developer account 20 days back apple charged $100 and i waited for 48 hours for them to process but still it showed account not renewed payment failed ,after that i tried calling them they asked for bank statement and order details ,and said payment declined so contact your bank ,i called the bank explained them they said money has been charged by apple and they sent a receipt that apple has charged i have spoke to 10+ times over the past 20 days sent enough proof but still apple keep denying that they have not received the payment its a big shock for me that a big reputed company after showing multiple proofs ,still deny that they have not received the funds,

The bank clearly said the money has been sent to them and have the receipt so fight with them
Any Idea how to proceed ?

Call the bank, ask for a chargeback.

Second option, court, lots of costs and big wait time, you can start with a letter of intent, maybe they take you seriously (it's a bluff but what can you lose)

Third option, find a connection (friend of a friend) at Apple who can facilitate a resolve of the issue.

From what I have seen, the money (if not captured from system) gets refunded within 7 days. So, be sure to check your statement once again. If you don't see the refund, initiate a charge back. This is weird to see such a reputable company doing this though.

They're not doing that intentionally, it's just employee incompetence/lack of interest and scripting they're provided by upper management.

Yeah, that would be my guess. These employees destroy brand reputation.

Edit: Btw, be sure to provide screenshot of your developer account in the chargeback request. Tell them that apple charged you this money but you did not get the upgrade. It should be an easy win for you.

Yeah problem is I think OP really needs his developer account so a chargeback won't be his goal. Anyway, worst case you get your money back but don't wait too long. Most banks have prescription times for chargebacks.

IMO, apple should not mind the chargeback because they are saying that they did not receive the money..basically? On what basis will they close OP's account then lol? It would be interesting to see. You are right about the time though. For my bank it is like 8 months. Generally it is 180 days. The money is not going anywhere before that.

Something went wrong between your bank and them. I had a payment refused by them a while back because my zip code didn't match what I had in the account. Perhaps there's some subtle thing causing this error. It is surely not something personal against you, they're too damned big to care about us.

First the case assigned to an intern, when i sent her the proofs spoke to her over phone she transferred the call her senior guy he said we see we tried to charge 5 times ,all 5 times it got declined ,i showed him the first time it went through and other 4 times it did not go through because already you have charged $100-110(in rubles) I told him bank clearly said the money is sent from their end and they cant charge back asked to proceed with the receipt for legal actions,he said he will call back ,and sent an email stating seems the money not reached us so please add a new cc and pay for the account ,the bank has not sent any money

Yes ,I also think so i have asked the intern at apple developer support and the senior guy (she says he is senior there i dont think so he is senior as i have mentioned the timestamp and the transaction which was charged by apple he has no clue about it) it seems their incompetence go through transactions i have spoke to multiple people in apple and sent dozens of email ,most of response is we dont know what went wrong it shows me you have not paid in my dashboard;)))

There are some apple subreddits on Reddit where you can post a self post about this.

I posted once to a Facebook subreddit where lots of Facebook developers hang out. I had a payment problem and posted my case there after nothing seemed to work. One of them private messaged me and said he'd handle the situation.

2 hours later problem solved.

You may want to try going public on Reddit about this.

There is a problem going public and giving account information to strangers as the accounts i have is for real big clients so they will not happy with that

Don't give out specifics on the public post. Then when they PM you, ask for a Apple employee email. It's probably impossible to spoof a Apple internal email address IMO.

Now they have closed the case ,saying we gave time for you to pay.meantime i got real receipts from the bank and confirmed they have received the funds shame on people who appoint interns who cannot even check the logs of payment even a client asks multiple times still they were ignorant not to check or accept they have done a mistake.
