Is it normal to be working on a project and instantly get a bigger idea? Then you dig into this new idea and you learn some new marketing that sets off an even bigger project in your mind? I find myself growing older and getting some crazy ideas. My issue that I've over came was not trying to do everything myself and outsource work to QUALITY freelancers. What are your opinions on abandoning projects/domains/stores and starting the new idea that is fresh in your mind, never really executing the plan because you you just were struck by a brilliant idea?

This is normal. It can be the best and the worst thing. Lots of people are constantly hopping from project to project because they learned a new method or had a new idea, and they never end up finishing a project or giving it 100% of their effort before moving on to something else.

Write down the idea, and leave it alone until your current project is done. If the idea doesn't look as good a few weeks later, then it probably wasn't that good of an idea to begin with.

If you keep jumping around, you'll just end up with Shiny Object Syndrome.

Sounds like the "shiny object syndrome" to me. If you got enough time go for the bigger project and keep doing your original project. The goal should be finish all your work. The worst thing is you work 60% on Project A, 50% on Project B and 70% Project C without ever finishing one of them. Huge waste of time without any outcome. Finish your projects asap and go for the next one. Time management is also super important. You can work on the new projects, just give yourself one-two hours per day to do more research etc.

Thanks guy, all is important while still having money roll in.

Unfortunately I suffer from this. So many projects unfinished ...I think it's a problem. Not sure how to control it. I thought about posting in the journey section to have the good people of BHW hold me accountable and help me stay on track.

You just explained my biggest issue... I have a ridiculous amount of unfinished projects. Very easy to get distracted and move on to the next.

I did exactly that, hope it helps me out!
