Twitter get more Followers

Hello guys. My Twitter account is stuck at 8k followers. Making no new progress.
My engagement rate is < 0.2%. Most of the tweets have 0 to 1 like.

I recently noticed that I can't follow more than 30 people without getting ghosted. Is that normal?

So I have to main problems:
(1) Followers
(2) Engagement

(1) Should I follow people in my niche or follow the ppl who use #teamstallion .... The second seems to yield more followbacks but way poorer engagement. Are there other alternatives? I am currently using Twiends, but Twitter somehow limited my actions through their API to only 10 follows a day.

(2) I am kind of artificialy pushing my engagement rate to 5% but this consumes a lot of my time and resources. Are there Twitter engagement groups or so?

Always follow in your niche.

Usually the trending hashtags are used for bots and low engagement followers.

You'd rather have 100 high engagement followers than 10000 fake accts that never engage.

Yeah it's kind of difficult for me to prevent ghosting. With 30 follows per day only 10% => 3 followers convert

Seems to be a pretty though road for me. I am posting 10 tweets a day. Is that too much or too less?

Should I use lots of hashtags in my posts? I mean literally spamming in 10+ # tags.
Currently I am using 2 very specific ones to my niche.

30 followers a day is very low. How are you following the users?

How you tried to do it manually in the website? After 30 do you still get ghosted? If YES, then it is something with your account. You have been flagged twitter side.
If you CAN follow manually, then how you are following the users is the problem


If you can only follow 30 day, you need to really make those 30 count. With heavy filtering, laser targeting of the people you do follow to make sure they are:

* real accounts
* active accounts
* engaging accounts (worthwhile to follow)
* interested in your niche


Then you should be able to boost up your 10% follow back rate somewhat and get them engaging with your tweets

Another strange thing is this: Maybe you know the "Social Exchange" Twiends. Twitter limited my ability to follow via Twiend's API to only 10 per day. Have never had a problem with that before. This problem is since 3 weeks.

If I am really flagged by twitter does this mean my account is on the brink of suspension?

For me it's really hard to determine which followers will engage with my content.
Is there something more I can do to increase followback and engagement. For example writing a dm to every new follower. Is this proven effective?

I don't know that service, sorry. But anything using the API, I think is a no go these days due to twitter cracking down on it

I don't know for sure, but it sounds possible. If you were using the API, then I would have said that was the issue, but a chrome extension on the site, that doesn't look good tbh

You can follow minimum 100 relevant people from your profile per day. Use hashtags and search for relevant people and follow them. There s no limit as such.

You have an interesting position. I would suggest that you follow only in your niche, as well as look at the quality of your posts, and not quantity. It depends on the factors of what kind of post, that is, long, short, interesting, about everyday life, news, personal, and so on. Perhaps what you think is very interesting and fresh, for someone has already become a hackneyed and uninteresting topic. Good luck in your business. I will wait for your further actions.

if they are so small you need to use the follow/unfollow tactic for sure

I had been doing that trick and I feel hopeless, hah.

maybe your using wrong setttings:

follow 50-100 people per day. not more!!
only people regarding your niche

Very true and practical. It yields more fruit to follow the people in your niche rather than just having so many followers who are not even interested in what you sell. Follow your users and work on your account to make it friendly to your followers. More still, stop wallowing in self pity and do something!

Having tons of followers with no targeting makes your reach even worse. When you got 1 million followers and only 100 engage, the system stores this information. Better having 100 followers with 10 engagements (10%) than 1 million with 100 engagements.

I am well aware of that.

I somewhat already fixed this problem and can reach 5% engagement rate on average now.

The white hat way is to buy ads.

The black hat way is to buy social packages that boost your engagement for each post until they start to flow on their own without boosts.
