Hi guys,

Just wondering about how CPA companies calculate an AM's compensation based on their affiliate's performance.

Cuz y'know, I'd love to know how they manage conflict of interest when some BH affiliates generate tons of junk leads which spit out tons of cash, while the AM sits there doin' nothing and get big fat commission at the end of the month.

Luv to hear your stories...

i asked my AM and he said that he is making millions

edit:- lol he is not my AM..he is the owner of the CPA company..lol my bad :D

hell, they are all slaves to the man....with so many of these networks being new...I'd say $36K in a base and the ability to earn $50K to $60K MAX anually probably less in many cases

They are all knuckleheads and babysitters...not much more

Honestly I heard once from a pretty reliable source, that they NET about 2k per month.

Now there is probably some incentives to hit and make more income, but I think this is about their base salary...

How positively sure you are with the numbers, buddy? Tried to ask your AM before? ;)

Hell, Im not sure at all...I'm speculating based on my 15 yrs in the corporate marketing game....for all I know...in this economy....the clowns are working 9 to 5 for $27K a year total comp?

Most "incentive" oriented positions in sales or marketing have a base plus as you are well aware....they have to make it worth these AMs while and keep them motivated?

Probably varies from network to network as well...with the more established ones paying more....

All I know is I had horrible base salaries in the 30's and 40's over 10 years ago and could barely live so I dont know HTF the AM's could do it on much less these days??

Well if I ran a CPA network, I wouldn't pay them more than 30k a year base.

They probably make 26-30k per year and decent commission tables.

I don't know. What about Azoogle's AMs? I highly doubt their AMs are working for 40K in NYC.

I think some people in this thread are confusing the Owner vs just the Affiliate Manager.
Owner = lots
Affiliate Manager = just enough to not look for other employment

I remember seeing a network advertise on this forum for an AM with a salary of 30k. A lot of people who replied to the OP with--- Anyone with the amount of experience they are asking for would already be making 100k+/yr.

My AM over at Affiliate.com told me he barely gets jack salary wise ($30,000) and would much rather jump to the affiliate side

the whole advantage of the job is you can spy on peoples campaigns and steal there methods. these affilate managers would be making 200k+ if they were running there own campaigns on the side

I am sure that a lot of the AM's are running campaigns on the side...They work all day in suits and ties then come home, close the blinds, lock the doors, light up a doozy of a joint, and then BH the crap out of those campaigns.

lol @ the people that said under 50k. AM's make 1-5% of the commisions each of their affiliates make. That means if the AM gets a good dude and manages someone that pulls in 10k a day from adwords, the AM makes about 500 dollars from that one person. I know people that are pulling in 100k a month from incentaclick, that means the AM earns 5k just from that person, and they usually manage 5-6 of those people plus 20-30 light weights.

They make 2xx,xxx a year, if not more

Haha, I don't think AMs do sh*t but talk to you. Literally I think they are running blackhat campaigns during work just trying to milk the advertisers for all they are worth. Essentially, they get that $30k + our commission + their commissions they make working 8 hours a day. If you get what I'm saying...

I'm not trying to start a war here, but I know for a fact they don't make NEARLY that much

Well thats what my am at neverblue said. Also think about it for a minute. A network as big as neverblue shaves probably 50-60 dollars per person every couple months. Multiply that by the number of affiliates and you get a number that is over 100k. Just from shaving they are +100k, then they get payed 6-7 dollars per free trial, so if a person does 200 of those a day, they make 1.2k from that person. From that 1.2k about 30% will go into the AM's pocket and the rest to the owner.

Also don't forget that these networks are not like normal jobs. They are started by a group of friends, and most of the AM's are close friends and are shared partners of the network.

That makes no sense. What the hell is holding him back then? I'm sure he knows all of the tricks of the trade so why doesn't he?
