I know some of you have been keeping up with me lately on some users copying my exact website theme/design and content... Just wanted to give an update:

UPDATE:

DMCA contacted the first site today for my Copyright Claimed case. I am happy to hear they are agreeing to remove. It was super easy, also they have a tool where I can scan my website and it will scan all sites on Google to find other sites that are duplicating mine! I found out, there are 19 sites already... Can't wait to see all of them be taken down!

Hey sorry if I wasn't clear. But wanted to ask you if using the DMCA Protection Badge help in any way? How does it prevent people from copying and pasting your site?

Oh! That's a great question actually. So if you have the badge installed on your site, and your ALSO registered with them. What will happen is once you confirm with their dashboard that you set up the badge correctly, they will start a start watch.

Start time once badge is confirmed is 30 days.

After the badge has been confirmed for 30 days, it is to be placed on your site, after the 30 days, they will automatically notify you of anyone who copies your design, text, images, etc. It's a really cool feature they have.

Pretty much, install the badge, wait 30 days, and from there on out, you will be notified if someone copies your site.
