What exactly happens after someone claims copyright?

Hi, as you all know that nowadays people are doing FAKE copyright claims and I am beginner so I just wanted to know what exactly happens immediately after someone does a copyright claim?

Do the youtube bots immediately puts a strike or something in the channel OR youtube asks for proof of copyright before doing anything?

Usually those fake copyright claims are to take your revenue and not break your channel so your channel will be safe just that you wont be earning from that video.

You cant only thing you can do is look for those channels and ban them right away. Youtube mechanism is very bad or worst in terms of this copyright claims.

Yes you can do that I never did that but learnt from a thread here and it can surely keep you little safe from those fake claims.
