Created a bit of an issue tying this in with other projects it was getting a little insane so I had to redo part of it. Took some messing around but
finally, we're running a lot smoother and with the bottleneck low enough to scale properly. One or two more changes to allow it to work better with the new Reddit project on the side but I'm hoping to have that squared away by tomorrow at some point.
Had a look through the analytics and the recent changes from a week or two ago (something like that - I'm losing track of time at the moment) are looking good. Traffic is steadily growing at the scale it's been at and after tomorrow and a good mug of coffee I should be able to take it to 10x the scale it's currently at within a few hours.
I'm guessing you're pinning stuff daily.
1. Do you pin to your own personal board or did you join any group boards?
2. If you're posting to group boards, how did you join them? I'm guessing you did not message each group owner, request access and wait for them to approve you-
3. What kind of description do you post to each pin? Or is it just a link to your site?
thanks for the answers, we're going to benefit from your help.
I've looked at group boards but I'm not convinced yet. You could automate the outreach to an extent or do it manually and it's certainly a chunk of traffic when your pin gets shared on a big board but not something I'm actively chasing at the moment.
Description varies based on the content type. Sometimes it's just about the site sometimes it's related to what's been posted.
yea this is what maybe i miss out , my does get lots of impression but is the Clicks no much maybe I never join group board? aka like FB group to share? I never or didn't know pin interest got , how to join?
Absolutely. You'll see Pinterest accounts with hundreds of thousands or even millions of views. But even pins with a clear call to action get a pretty low click through. It's still free traffic so I'm not turning it down but at the end of the day views on the pins don't matter. It's traffic to the site which gets you paid.
do you pin other big website posts to grow the boards?
how often do you post in your website? i mean you need new posts daily in order to pin right?
do you pin from all your accounts? or repin the main accounts post on other accounts?
Yes, it automatically pins other peoples stuff to the boards as well. I run a bunch of automated sites I honestly couldn't even tell you how many posts a day but a lot. More than I'm currently posting to Pinterest.
I'm experimenting with repinning across multiple accounts. I've had too much on at once lately to make much headway on a proper test. But there are a lot more metrics for a pin than just repins.
Good progress, so did you get more traffic by reducing the amount of pins and increasing their repin count?
Way too early to tell I'm afraid. Especially with the lower post rate it's probably a few weeks before I can really look at it.
