Just a heads up, if you install the Brave browser ( https:// brave (dot) com ).
After you sign up and log in, check your grants / rewards.
You should get 40.0 BAT that at the time of writing this is $5.10 USD!

** Not affiliate with Brave, just passing along some free money

I use brave daily, already. Claimed and tipped to sites i visit sometimes. Thanks.

Installing and uninstalling works? or one time only.

People who exploit the system such as creating multiple instances with VMs, etc. claim grants and donate them all to themselves get flagged by BATs anti-fraud filter, and they will have their accounts suspended.

Right now, the team investigates such things and has already caught people in the act. They'll see something suspicious, suspend the account, and investigate further. They look for clues such as poor content in addition to a ridiculous amount of referrals, and installs, etc.

Of course, the problem with this is what happens when Brave gets wide spread adoption. How big of an anti-fraud team will they need to prevent this sort of thing and how could they possibly keep up with people trying to abuse the system?

Yah man you take all the risk and let us know how that goes. Haha

Hahaha. Oh, BHW, got to you love you guys and galls...
Dont think I am going to try this at the moment however, just happy to get a bunch of BAT for free.

Right now, the Brave wallet is unidirectional. This means you can only send money to the Brave browser, not send it out.

Code:
BAT wallet -> BRAVE wallet

The only way to get your BAT out of Brave is to tip yourself, for liking your own wonderful content. To do this, you need to be a verified publisher with the BAT project, which means they are going to review your content.

A bidirectional wallet is in development. I imagine once they get that going, they will no longer give out free BAT, because then people would do exactly what is discussed above and abuse the system.

This will make fraud detection work pretty easy if you ask me. If a non-legend contributor is receiving tonnes of BAT tokens from new/fresh accounts ( especially giveaway BAT's ) it could get labelled as central conspiracy node and all banned.

Yes, they are pretty smart about things.

FYI, some people are reporting seeing their first BAT ads in the Browser. Although these are not the ads where you can earn rewards yet. That's where I'm really interested to see if some savvy programmers will figure out a way to game the system.
