You are taking out of context. The discussion is about adding a handshake emoji to the list... Not to start sending cartoon drawings???

But it is literally a cartoon-style vector drawing of two hands...

How about a 'You're wasting my time' emoji?

As I asked earlier, do you say the word 'handshake' at the end of your phone calls?
No, but you say it's a pleasure doing business with you. Or I conclude the conversation in a professional way. The point is, we need a symbol that closes a business deal in a professional way. A handshake being 1 of them.

“Need”

Exactly. "in a professional way". And for the entirety of human writing, that goal has been accomplished with words.

Unless you're promoting a particular children's movie, cartoon drawings are not part of a professional negotiation.

Who is talking about carton drawings?

It would be nice to turn this place into a teenager girl group chat
You are implying that emojis are considered to be targeted towards teenage girls, as well as @mickyfu and others. But the site already has emojis. The thread is about adding another one.

I swear to god, if a handshake emoji is implemented here before the nightly spam is quelled based on multiple suggestions, something is fundamentally wrong. @SMMnet, it's clear you mean well, and want to be considered an authority figure and a beacon of change on here. I used to be the same way. Here is what I realized:
  1. Very few people will care what you have to say until you spend time contributing
  2. Those with pull on the forum (and those you want to get along with) don't take your attempts at change well
  3. Ownership will rarely take suggestions that require any code changes if thy don't provide a fiscal response
I would like a strong, legitimate reason why an emoji should be considered instead of a standard salutation on an email. I figure, if you can demand reasoning in your OP, we can do the same in our responses.

I have never, ever, ever had concerns about which emoji to pick to close out a deal, on BHW or off. Has this seriously been an issue for you? I struggle to see how many deals you've done on BHW since you've only been a Jr. VIP/Marketplace Seller for a week.

We can all see what you're doing, and the angle you are playing. While there is nothing wrong with that, it's pretty obvious that you are selling courses, trying to portray yourself as a "baller guru", and are a fountain of self promotion. This generally does not do well here. Neither does flat counterarguments with zero substance to everyone who doesn't explicitly agree with you.

You are new here. Why don't you try to assimilate and go with the flow of the forum instead of trying to plug yourself in every thread and go against the grain on every single thing? I don't understand what kinds of change you think you will be able to make in a month on the board. Every thread you make turns into a multiple page troll fest that you actively contribute to the baiting of. You lack understanding on the concept of a community.

I've been trying to take the high road as much as possible when it comes to interactions on here, but something about you seriously rubs me the wrong way.

Maybe it's that you sell courses and coaching with zero true, honest proof of your claims.
Maybe it was when I tried to give you advice by pointing out why people don't fucking like you and your response was "did not read lol".
Maybe it's that all your "claims to fame" are either self-owned web properties, or hype articles that can easily be bought.

The thread you made a few days ago was helpful. But I see a strong lack of respect for the community. It's not my authority to do anything about it. However, for the time I have spent on here helping others and contributing, I see it as a responsibility to make sure that you can't sell out members here for "10 monthly payments of $25" per your guru course, poorly-developed website.

So what's the story?

Everyone has their own opinion. It's literally just a recommendation. You get so worked up over nothing really.

Emojis are cartoon-style vector drawings, which were popularized by a children's animated movie.
Do you know how often emoji's are used? They are also already on the forum. The recommendation is about adding a business closing emoji such as a handshake. If you think that we should completely remove emojis from the forum because it "resembles children's animated movies" then you should create a different thread because that is not what this one is about.

If you think that we should completely remove emojis from the forum
I never said any such thing. It's clear you don't have a lot of respect for the forum, but could you at least show us enough respect to not deliberately misrepresent what we say?

Just type it out..
You want me to type: "Let's do a handshake"

Who knew this thread would be one of the most recent discussed polls in this section? I feel like it is worth possibly looking into.
