Music promotion channel

Good evening everyone,

So before I start, I have this natural talent for picking out artists (rappers mostly) that are going to become popular, so in my infinite wisdom I decided to embark on a promotional sort of journey.

My idea is to find these artists, post thier music on my YouTube channel, promote through instagram.

Examples of YouTubers that are doing this
1) astari
2) trash

My question to you is if I do not monotize the video can I still get in trouble from copyright? Or do I still have to ask for permission from these artists?

Side question...... Anyone doing this sort of thing here?

Yeah ask them for permission since even if you are not monetizing the content you are still using it.
