1-3 posts per day is OK in most cases if you want subscribers to read your texts. But if you have a fetish account and your goal is increasing the number of eggplants in comments, you can post 10 and more pics per day

Depends on your niche, if you are in MEME then you can post more than 3 (if your content is quality and you have a lot of memes to choose from).

If you are in a influencer niche, i would suggest you to go with only one post per day - with multiple stories 3 - 5.

In niches like luxury, travel, motivation etc... you can post around 1 - 3 posts per day (i wouldn't go more than 3, since people are aware of reposting content, and getting tired of these niches).

I do 3-5 posts, but if your accounts are aged. you can post more than 5.. you just shouldn't post all at the same time.

I would for sure stick to 1-3 per day maximum, people like to see new content from you but they don't like to get spammed with a lot of your posts every day.
Keeping the engagement high with posting more than 1-3 x also sounds more difficult.
