Ways to turn £500 seed money into £1000?

I would flip some items or do events:

1. Go to local closeouts (wholesale prices), thrift stores, garage sales and buy merchandise worth $500 then resell it for at least $1000.
2. Set up a speed dating event. Go find a local pub - many will host you for free if you bring people. Use the $500 for marketing (you could buy like 20k+ good looking flyers with this amount). For just 20 people you only need $50 per ticket to reach $1000.

Maybe buy some expired domains in popular niches and build them up a bit maybe throw some content on them and then sell them on. I did this once with a wedding photographer ( local to me) I searched for many expired domains in his niche and after I did some checks on the domains I sold them onto him for profit on each one, you could also offer to make a blog network for them and get even more money.

Buy products and sell for profit on somewhere like Etsy or eBay - Spend time checking out what is popular and then take a look at the wholesaler.co.uk ( this is something I am going to be doing as diversification and to build up as a second income) Dropshipping could be added into this as well.
