How do you visit your own website without affecting analytics stats?

As an owner I have to open my website 30/40 times/day to check few things here and there.

How should a webmaster manage to avoid these visits to be counted in Google Analytics?

The purpose is to avoid the increase in Bounce Rate of my website as I only open it for few seconds.

OR - Google knows it already and I should not worry about it?

Hi,

You need to setup exclusion for your ip address :

• Login to Google Analytics and select your profile.
• Select the Admin menu.
• Under Account select All Filters.
• Click Add Filter.
• Give the filter a name (can be anything, I use the IP address)
• Leave Filter Type as predefined.
• It should read: Exclude + traffic from the IPaddresses + that are equal to.
• Enter your IP address.

It will not be retrospective. Hope this helps.

40 times a day you say? It's absolutely neglible. There is no reason to worry.

But in case of low traffic to your site, it doesn't make sense to monitor GA at all.

You can use Google tag manager to exclude your own time. If website in WordPress then you can exclude traffic from admin, author also through tag manager.
