SUGGESTION: Can you provide a "pay as you go" type of service where people have to pay for different tasks like posting a request for backlinks etc. Such a plan can intake more such customers who do not require regular work.

We launched something yesterday that I feel might be useful to the BHW community. Some of the PMs I get are from individuals asking if there are influencers for their very specific needs (which is totally understandable). I absolutely stand behind who we are and what we've developed, so we came up with a way for you to build a sample campaign without authenticating.

Why is that important?

You can essentially test our filters and find out how many influencers are going to be relevant for your specific needs, and you won't have to provide a credit card or email to do it. Naturally, it is my hope that at the end of building this sample campaign you're encouraged enough to purchase, but I would rather have fewer brands signing up for a longer period of time due to satisfaction with our product than a high number of one-off purchases that don't renew. We are now the second biggest influencer network in the U.S. and have our sights on becoming the biggest in 2019; as such, we aren't going anywhere and are only going to get more aggressive in adding a breadth and depth of influencers.

Everyone in our network has actively signed up to be there and wants to remain there; anyone caught trying to scam a brand (or brand scam an influencer) is promptly removed.

One way brands have interacted on product campaigns is to provide a one off coupon code to their cart -- in such a case, you know exactly who received your product so if they were to get kicked off of Intellifluence, you have that contact information.

The issue you describe is exactly why we created payments though, where the cash offered is enough to cover the product purchase (and usually some extra amount for effort) -- the influencer doesn't receive this until the review is accepted, which on our end means the amount of influencers attempting to take product and run went to zero.
 
We made some improvements to help out our influencers, but there's some hidden things going on that are good for brands. Right now our developers are on a push to incrementally improve campaign process logic to take out existing slack: pitch expirations to recover funds faster, auto-archive old transactions without activity, auto-complete when reviews are submitted, etc etc. We want to constantly tighten the time from when you want to pitch an influencer to when the review goes live. After we're done with all the campaign logic and rolling out our brand triggered emails to help brands along, we'll be turning to improving the UI of the initial campaign setup.

Hi OP, 4 of my credit cards were declined when I tried to subscribe your service. And your support said it was my bank's problems. I have been actively using my cards for oversea purchase. So, do you offer other payment option such as Paypal? Thank you.

We do not offer paypal; relying on Stripe has cut down fraud significantly. Support actually brought it to my attention -- your credit cards were getting denied by your bank (according to Stripe). The message code was "Do Not Honor" -- it's not a setting on our end; we have thousands of brands using us; when a code like that happens it can mean a few things such as a stolen card, unauthorized geography, balance issue, and a host of other things that we ourselves cannot address. Did you contact your bank? When it is resolved with the bank, it'll pass Stripe validation.
 
Your support asked me to contact my bank so that they allow purchase in the states. But I have been using them to purchase software and physical goods in the states for so many years. Lol. This is the first time a payment gateway declining all my cards saying I don't honor them. Hmmm.

I've had it happen to myself and it was solved with a quick phone call to my bank; sometimes bank do these things to protect you. Since you put in so many cards, it probably looks like fraud to them. My advice is just to get in touch with your bank.

The platform has a good set up no doubt. But it didn't work out for me. It's no influencers for the specific niche and platform I was looking for smh. I'm going to wait a couple years then check out the service again.

Understandable; what niche did you need? I can try to hunt for those individuals specifically. In some cases too I think the right people may be in the system, but they aren't providing enough profile information to let a brand know they're a good fit (i.e. giving 5 words in their profile vs telling a story to help stick out) -- I'm working on that as well.

What I was looking for is in the home diy niche. It's more specific than that but I didn't want my specific niche out in the public. I was wanting someone for YouTube.
 
Hello OP, I managed to sign up this time. Thanks for the coupon. My review: I must say that this is an extraordinary site. My offer is a free product and a little cash ($20). Within 10 days, almost 20 influencer(averagely 12k audience) had approached me!! It sure feels awesome. I don't think the relevancy of audience is high but hey, it's super powerful social proof man! It's like a kryptonite that can help you fight super big brand out there, if you know how to use them. The only issue that bothers me is that, I still can't get any influencer with big size audience to work with me :)

The bigger influencers tend to do influencer marketing as a full-time job, so they usually look for more money. What you can test is pitching larger influencers (maybe 15k-25k audiences) with $25...then try a slightly larger audience for a bit more money, until you find your sweet spot.
 
Thanks mate. Will try your advice. One more thing I think you should implement on your site is that you should set "contact number" as required information when they accept the pitch. Most courier service will need recipient's contact number just in case they're not around. I had to keep chasing them for phone number for so many days and it's very inconvenient.
