If I take english articles from my niche and translate them into my language, will google detect that it is translated and rank me lower? Or will I rank higher because of all the new articles?

What happens if I don't? Like if I only fix the broken grammar by google translate.

It will work .. try to add a few sentences and make it original .. but usually translated contanet won't get you banned by Big G.

Look, if you translate an article into another language it's impossible to detect if it's plagiarised or not. Just be sure that your translated article hasn't been used already by others in the same language and if so, change the wording and structure of the article and perhaps add some content to it yourself.
