Nice to hear, I am staying with he Classic Editor too... I just tried the new Gutenberg and it takes sooo long to write anything and it's confined to the skinny little area in the middle. Classic 4 life lol

Oh no, stay away from BlueHost. I have literally tried EVERY host that's around the web. BlueHost is on the same level as HostGator. They are putting too many customers on each server, loading speed for the first byte is very bad and customer support are a bunch of retards. What's your budget?

If it's mid $$, than you can go with Kinsta or WP Engine. I prefer to have Kinsta, because I'd like their admin interface.
If you're short on money, you can go with SiteGround. Very reliable, fast speeds but not entirely optimized for WordPress.

This is really a personal question. I am using the following plugins to keep my WordPress installations safe and secure:

https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/security-malware-firewall/

But WordFence works very well too (but the plugin is really slowing down my websites)

* when a site is well known / established /ranks for a lot of keywords / have many good backlinks / ....

Yeah, and many plugins are not compatible with the Gutenberg editor. I really dislike it.

Hostinger is good as well, but not really optimized for WordPress.

That's a personal preference. The NewsPaper theme has 9 updates from 2013; the theme has SO many features that's bloated and my loading speeds with the Newspaper theme wasn't too good.
