Would you date a single mom?

My advice as a female is that it depends how she ended up a single mother. Got pregnant in her 20s? No, she's an idiot. Husband died? Probably ok to date. Got divorced and has a very young kid? Means she was too much to deal with for the father to even wait for the kid to be older. Plate her if she's hot.

If she's generally very pleasant and a good mom, she would have been scooped up long ago. Men have an innate desire to take care of women and children. So, on the whole, single moms, especially of young kids, are not good dating options.

Also they often smart... so may be even better to marry on single girl with kid instead marry on young girl because young girl often does not want seriously relationship and want to have fun. When "fun" is over and some problems appear she break up with her guy and looking for new... Single girl with kid probably will be with you even if things go bad.

They are women in their 20's that have gotten pregnant due to being raped. Maybe the woman got divorced because the guy was a cheater or abusive. Also a single mom may just not have a desire to go find someone as other things in life may more priority for a while such as raising a kid and working.

Yes when I was doing my youngish, free and single bit I dated some single mums, and the reason it didn't become serious / longterm was I had just got divorced, had my own young son and didn't want to take on another persons child. I have kept in touch as friends with some of these women though.

For me it was a personal choice, but anyone who thinks a single mom is lower than themselves, is deluded. One of these 'single moms' I went out with was a former model, she had a great job, worked long hours, earned a boatload of money and still put her kids first.

Some people associate being a single mom, with being a 19 year old scrubber, mother of 2 living purely on benefits and having no ambition in life. They are not all like that.

So a woman who got pregnant at 29 is an idiot? Maybe she was a career person earning $500k a year and felt the time was right for her to have a child. Surely you meant 16 as opposed to in their 20s?

Im coming close to ages, where "single" moms would have children already 18, so , nothing really changes.
