Flippa Flips a Switch, and Sells Stop

I feel Flippa's days are numbered if they don't revert back to what they were doing years ago. Now it's more focussed upon selling Business websites with gross profits over 100K . (Yes nice if you want to fork out $200 to list a site like that) but you can use professional brokers to do this for a little more wo know the markets better and what clients are looking for.
What happens on Flippa now to the newbies searching and wanting a starter site for a few hundred $ to purchase? Flippa has had it good fro too long now and its time for a newcomer to step in and take their spot from them!

Plus, the thing is that they don't even offer decent verifications for businesses that are 100k+. One good example that does it right are Empire Flippers - although their listings are quite expensive (20k+), they have a very good verification process. On the other hand, Flippa just sucks in that aspect. So, they are focusing on selling big fish, while the potential buyers of big fish will prefer Empire Flippers or other platforms.

Flippa was good at low to mid-range businesses. Now they are no longer.

Their overall website redesign is terrible now too. Navigation isn’t as simple as it used to be. Took me months to sell one of my top dropshipping websites.

And I am not sure if you have realized or not BUT their site prices have gone to the roof too, there are sites with $300, $400 revenue per month valuated in 20k or more, it seems they are going for less volume and they want to increase the size of each transaction.

That's really a topic for another thread, but it depends a lot on the quality of the domain. There are forums decided to this topic.

You can, if you think it's worth it. There are rules about what can be listed as a business and it's strict. Send them a message and ask before trying.

I agree, it is similar to the monopoly apple has on cell phones. the common man doesn't want to touch android and there really isn't windows or even a 3rd option. sickening when you think there are 6 billion people on earth with cell phones!

More people in the world actually own an Android phone than an Apple phone. It's just in America where shit is reversed

The days of selling 30+ starters sites for $69 - $100 are over. Just do the math. $10 for domain, $65 to list on flippa, 10% success fee if the site sells, 3% Paypal fee. If your site sales for $100 on the first try you'll earn about $12 in profit. If you choose to not buy the $65 premium listing, then you're just throwing your money away because you wont get any views.

You can either build better starter sites with high quality designs and real potential or you can accept the $12 profit and become a Flippa slave. If you're not a real web designer or marketer, it's just not worth it anymore. After the new changes on Flippa my sales and views went up. I love the new changes!

I'm sure if we all teamed up we could do it, but how often does that happen? Flippa grew out of the digitalpoint forum and grew to be the eBay of website sales for a while. Sure, we could get some managers, work with some coders, hire a bunch of Filipinos to do customer service, and get some marketing experts to take over Flippa's position. But you're talking about a lot of people working for free for a dream or a few people investing a ton of money. I think there is potential, but everyone here with the experience and expertise has got their own thing going on and aren't going to risk it all. I can see all the parts that need to go together, but I don't have the time or money to do it. All the pros here are doing SEO and/or CPA for a quick and easy turnaround. Maybe not easy, but easier than taking over a market.

True, a lot are just looking for the next quick buck. It does take some time to put it all into motion, but by identifying the need, assigning a value to each of the steps then drafting that value into a % ownership might work. Who knows, its down to who has the extra 10 or 20 hours a week for something longer term is all

It was an incredible coincidence because only one week after releasing Trustiu, Flippa made these changes.

We still have a long way to go and i expect a great learning curve, but I hope Trustiu can stir up problems like this. And on the other hand it broadens the options for selling these properties.

I think the last time someone started a Flippa complaint tread someone else promoted their new marketplace. It didn't go anywhere. I think it's all about getting buyers, and the sellers will follow. Good luck.

I'm not sure if that would be the best option. I think we first have to supply the opportunities in the marketplace, ie sellers, and only then comes the buyers concern.
Of course we have to have some buyers from the beginning, and we do have some, but that's not my concern at the moment.
